要求
- 具备所指定手语的流利能力；
- 拥有专业手语翻译资格证书或注册于国家协会（例如：ASL 的 RID/NIC，其他语言的相应认证）；
- 熟悉翻译员伦理准则；
- 有医疗、员工关系和/或会议翻译经验（以下为我们会常合作的项目类型，仅供参考）；
- 每个项目可能有额外的领域特定要求（例如：法院、医疗等）
我们合作的项目类型：我们需要熟悉以下一种或多种项目类型的翻译：
- 会议（主要行业：科技、生命科学、金融等）；包括：
- 高管主题演讲/产品发布；
- 工作坊/分组讨论；
- 员工参与：人力资源/管理会议、现场/远程培训、全体大会等；
- 医疗会议：患者-医生/护士会面、试验筛选等；
- 音乐表演和音乐会（通常作为会议的一部分）

Welocalize is looking for qualified freelance sign language interpreters to support our growing corporate customers with team members who are Deaf / hard of hearing.
Job information:
Job Title: Sign Language Interpreter
Languages: any Sign Language is welcome. We primarily work with American Sign Language, British Sign Language, Irish Sign Language, Indian Sign Languages, Libras, and International Sign Language.
Location: remote/onsite (global)
Employment Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor
Requirements
- Demonstrated fluency in their designated sign language;
- Professional sign language interpreting qualification and/or registration with national associations (e.g. RID/NIC for ASL, NRCPD for, etc.);
- Familiarity with interpreter Codes of Ethics;
- Demonstrated interpreting experience in healthcare, employee relations and/or conference interpreting (see below for non-exhaustive list of engagements we typically work with);
- Additional domain-specific requirements may be applicable on a per-engagement basis (e.g.: courts, healthcare)
Type of engagements we work with: we are looking for interpreters who are familiar with one or more of the following types of engagements:
- Conferences (Main industries: Technology, Life Sciences, Finance, etc.); these includes:
- C-Suite Keynotes/product launches;
- Workshops / breakout sessions;
- Employee engagement: HR/management meetings, onsite/remote trainings, townhalls, etc;
- Healthcare meetings: patient-doctor/nurse appointments, trial study screenings, etc.
- Music Performances and concerts (typically as part of Conferences)
Please note that this work is based on project need – assignment scope will vary by engagement.
