Atargenx, we are committed to putting the patient first. As a member of the US Patient Advocacy Team, you will play a key role within the broaderargenxecosystem inintegrating thepatientvoice early and often into everything we do to better serve patients and their communities.
This person willbe responsible foracting as the primary point of contact for our external Patient Advocacy Organization (PAO) partners as well as our internalargenxteams to ensure we show up consistently as their partner of choice.
To be successful, this person will need to set and maintain an indication-level Advocacy strategy, communicate the strategy to internal/external partners, bring the patient voice into development milestones (e.g., end point selection, etc.), and partner with our cross-functional teams to show up for our patient communities for in-market indications during the moments that matter.
This is a remote-based position. To help meet the needs of the patient communities we serve, you will spend meaningful time in the geographies you cover, building relationships withPAOsand attending prioritized patient events either live or virtually asappropriate. At times, these events may take place outside of standard businesshours,a flexible schedule will be developed to accommodate evening and weekend work.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Patient Advocacy Organization + External Engagement Responsibilities
- Develop and implement patient advocacy strategies and engagement plans for disease therapeutic areas, ensuring alignment with corporateobjectivesand strategies.
- Effectively balance and prioritize both pipeline indications and in market indications (i.e.gMGand CIDP).
- Execute patient advocacy engagement strategy Nationally and/or in local geographies that are aligned with cross-functional teams for in-market indications, translating US and market strategies to actionable tactics & events
- Build and manage relationships with US PAOs
- Build understanding of patient needs through interactive engagement such as prioritized patient events, patient panels, and cross-functionallyidentifiedopportunities, etc.
- Provide local support to patient services team during the patient onboarding process
- Representargenxexternally at events & conferences to educate and engage with patients, empowering other teams to do so when necessary
- Define and measure business impact at local, regional, and national events
- Build andmaintainproficiencyin the disease state, Patient Experience, and product knowledge to support the needs of the community
Internal Engagement and Cross Functional Responsibilities
- Inform local market engagement by generating and synthesizing insights for teams
- Work cross-functionally within the ecosystem of support atargenxtoidentifythe needs and opportunities relevant to patient advocacy
- Be a voice for the community within the organization and within the Advocacy team based on assigned pipeline & all in-market indications
- Effectively manage internal operations, including compliant management of events, patient advocacy organization sponsorships, and budgeting process.
- Build and own the Advocacy strategy for assigned indications from development through in-market in collaboration with your TA-level Advocacy colleagues
- Ensure alignment of activities and prioritization to strategy through frameworks, standardization, and ways of working
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degreerequired
- 10 years industry or related experience
- Proven capability and success implementing innovative programs within rare disease and with minority and underserved patient communities
- Proventrack recordsetting andmaintainingadherence to an Advocacy strategy for a givenindicationor Therapeutic Area
- Veeva experience andproficiencyrequired
- Experience with rare disease patient interactions and compliancerequired
- Willing to travel up to 50% of the time and attend events outside of business hours (e.g., weekends and evenings).Flexibleschedule will be developed to accommodate evening and weekend work.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Passion for understanding and championing the needs of people living with rare diseases, their caregivers, and their community, resulting in elevated Patient Experience
- Strong communicationskills with the ability to listen actively, express ideas fluently and succinctly both in person and in writing, and present effectively; especially important to understand the perspectives of and work collaboratively with otherargenxinternal stakeholders
- Desire to integrate the patient voice into the end-to-end product lifecycle atargenxand the knowledge to know when, where, and how to do so

For applicants in the United States: The annual base salary hiring range for this position is $164,000.00 - $225,500.00 USD. This range reflects our good faith estimate at the time of posting. Individual compensation is determined using objective, inclusive, and job-related criteria such as relevant experience, skills, demonstrated competencies and internal equity. This means actual pay may differ from the posted range when justified by these factors. Because market conditions evolve, pay ranges are reviewed regularly and may be adjusted to remain aligned with external benchmarks.This job is eligible to participate in our short-term and long-term incentive programs, subject to the terms and conditions of those plans and applicable policies.
