Job Description
The Commercial Lines Division is looking for interns to join us for summer 2027 and work on a handful of projects. These vary based on the teams with a focus on:
- Actuarial: Rating and pricing enhancements and analytics – Focused on the nuances of insurance pricing ranging, especially those large accounts which are individually priced.
- Product Services: Automation of the Insurance Filings Process and AI – Focused on the complexities of the insurance filing process and how those vary across jurisdictions and lines of business.
All roles have a wide breadth of lines of business that can be involved from Commercial Lines (Auto, General Liability, Property, Umbrella and Workers’ Compensation) to Financial Lines (Cyber, Professional Liability, Management Liability).
What you will do:
- Work on 2-3 projects related to the above focuses.
- Develop, maintain, review, update, and enhance existing processes and tools.
- Partner with tenured actuaries, data scientists, and product specialists and learn about the nuances of insurance.
- Support initiatives that drive efficiency, accuracy, and innovation across a broad range of Commercial Lines functions.
What you will bring to C&F:
- Relevant coursework/exams in actuarial science or data science a plus.
- Actuarial and Product: Excel or R experience required
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and in writing
- An ability to manage time and work effectively independently

Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $16.00 to a maximum of $27.50. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range.
