关于职位
您将帮助保持一个应用的稳定、安全和功能正常，因为其计划的退役被推迟了。您的工作将集中在升级依赖项和框架、扩展单元测试覆盖率以及解决兼容性问题上。

· 有与遗留代码库合作的经验，并能快速上手。

Software Mind is seeking a Full-Stack Engineers (Kotlin, TypeScript, React) for a full-time, three-month engagement supporting the maintenance of an existing client application.
This is a fully remote role open to candidates based in Latin America.

About the Role
You’ll help keep an application stable, secure, and functional after its planned retirement was postponed. Your work will focus on upgrading dependencies and frameworks, expanding unit test coverage, and resolving compatibility issues.
The role is split approximately evenly between backend and frontend, with a slightly greater backend emphasis, using Kotlin and Gradle alongside TypeScript and React. You’ll collaborate with the client’s engineering team and quickly get familiar with an existing codebase.
Main Responsibilities
· Update and upgrade outdated libraries, dependencies, and frameworks to keep the application stable and secure.
· Write and expand unit tests across backend and frontend components.
· Validate application functionality after upgrades through thorough testing.
· Identify and resolve issues introduced by dependency or framework changes.
· Collaborate with the client's engineering team to align on priorities and progress.
Requirements:
· 8+ years of full-stack development experience.
· Strong English communication skills (B2 minimum) for collaboration with the client’s team.
· Strong backend experience with Kotlin and Gradle.
· Strong frontend experience with TypeScript and React.
· Experience with dependency upgrades and framework version migrations.
· Solid understanding of unit testing, with experience writing and maintaining tests.
· Experience working with legacy codebases and the ability to ramp up quickly.
· Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned work.
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
· Availability to commit to a full-time, three-month engagement.
Nice to Have
· Experience supporting end-of-life (EOL) applications or legacy modernization projects.
· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
· Experience working in small, agile teams.
