Summary
As an EDI Helpdesk Representative - Remote Montana at Gainwell, you’ll support healthcare providers by helping resolve questions and issues related to Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), provider services, and healthcare transactions.
This position supports Montana Medicaid operations and is 100% remote. Candidates residing in Montana are strongly preferred; however, qualified candidates residing elsewhere in the United States may also be considered.
You’ll work directly with healthcare providers to research issues, troubleshoot concerns, and help ensure they receive accurate and timely support.
Your role in our mission
- Serve as the first point of contact for healthcare providers by answering inbound calls and responding to EDI and provider-related inquiries.
- Research, troubleshoot, and resolve provider issues, escalating more complex concerns to the appropriate teams when needed.
- Conduct outbound follow-up calls and communications to ensure timely resolution of provider requests.
- Process provider and member updates while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and documentation standards.
- Meet established service, quality, and productivity goals while delivering professional and responsive customer support.
What we're looking for
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimumtwo years of experience in customer service, call center support, helpdesk support, healthcare operations, provider services, claims processing, EDI support, or a related field.
- Experience supporting healthcare providers, health plan members, claims processing, Medicaid programs, or healthcare customer service preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to research and explain information clearly.
- Ability to navigate multiple systems, manage competing priorities, and maintain strong attention to detail in a remote work environment.
What you should expect in this role
- 100% remote position, with preference given to candidates residing in Montana.
- Equipment provided by Gainwell Technologies.
- Monday through Friday schedule during standard business hours.
- Video cameras must be used during all virtual interviews and the first week of training.
- Candidates must successfully complete a skills and competency assessment as part of the hiring process.

The pay range for this position is $35,000 - $50,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
