Position: Electrical Design Specialist
Type:Contract
Compensation:$70–$85/hour
Location:Remote
Duration:Short-term project
Role Responsibilities
- Develop, analyze, and evaluate electrical designs based on technical requirements and system performance.
- Design and review electrical systems, circuits, and components, including distribution systems and control panels.
- Interpret and analyze electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Perform electrical calculations such as load flow, voltage drop, and short-circuit analysis.
- Evaluate design alternatives and identify potential design issues or improvements.
- Review and validate designs against project requirements and engineering standards.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Experienced Electrical Design Engineers or Electrical Engineers with hands-on industry experience.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of electrical system design and engineering principles.
- Practical experience in designing or evaluating electrical systems.
- Experience with low- and medium-voltage systems and power distribution.
- Experience with tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or Revit.
Preferred
- Advanced degree or professional engineering certification.
- Experience with power system studies and specifying and sizing transformers and switchgear.
- Experience with industrial automation and control systems.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and standards like IEC, IEEE, or NEC.
