The Senior Director, Investor Relations is responsible for executing the Company's investor relations strategy and serves as a strategic partner to Treasury and executive leadership, translating the Company's financial performance, strategic priorities, and long-term value creation strategy into clear and consistent external communications. This role is critical in developing a clear, consistent, and compelling investment narrative that effectively articulates the Company's financial performance, strategic priorities, capital allocation philosophy, and long-term growth objectives to investors, analysts, and other external stakeholders. The Director provides actionable market intelligence, investor feedback, peer benchmarking, and industry insights to inform executive decision-making and support the Company's strategic and financial objectives. As a trusted partner to senior leaders, the role helps assess market sentiment, anticipate investor concerns, and identify emerging trends that may influence the Company's valuation, access to capital, or reputation in the financial markets. Working closely with Finance, Business Planning & Analysis, Legal, Operations and Marketing, the Director ensures consistency, accuracy, and transparency across all external financial communications. The role is responsible for supporting earnings preparation and communication, investor presentations, and ongoing engagement with the investment community, while helping maintain the Company's credibility and reputation with shareholders and the broader financial markets.Outcomes and Activities:
- This position will work from home; occasional planned travel to our Southfield, Michigan office may be required. However, this position is permitted to work at our Southfield, Michigan office if requested by the team member.
- Coordinate execution of the Company's investor relations strategy, ensuring clear, consistent, and compelling messaging to the investment community.
- Develop and maintain the Company's investment thesis, articulating business strategy, financial performance, capital allocation decisions, and long-term growth opportunities.
- Lead preparation for quarterly earnings press releases, earnings calls, executive comments, investor presentations, and other external communications.
- Partner with Finance, Business Planning & Analysis, Legal, Operations, Marketing, and executive leadership to ensure alignment and consistency in external disclosures and messaging.
- Monitor market trends, investor sentiment, analyst reports, peer performance, and industry developments to provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Develop briefing materials and strategic recommendations for executive leaders related to investor engagement opportunities, conferences, roadshows, and market events.
- Support debt capital markets activities by aligning investor-facing materials and coordinating stakeholder communications.
- Provide leadership with market intelligence, investor feedback, valuation insights, and recommendations to enhance investor understanding and confidence.
- Identify opportunities to improve investor communications, reporting, transparency, and stakeholder engagement.
- Leverage technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve reporting, market monitoring, analytics, and stakeholder communications.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of corporate finance, equity capital markets, investor relations, financial analysis, and valuation methodologies.
- Strong understanding of public company reporting requirements, financial disclosures, SEC regulations, and governance considerations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial and business concepts for diverse audiences.
- Executive-level presentation capabilities, including experience presenting to senior leaders, investors, analysts, and boards.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financial performance, strategy, operations, and market dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and build credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and operate effectively in a highly visible environment.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to develop trust across leadership teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to lead change, drive process improvements, and continuously enhance investor communications and engagement activities.
- Demonstrates PRIDE values by maintaining a positive, respectful, insightful, direct, and earnest approach to leadership and collaboration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of ten years of progressive experience in investor relations, treasury, corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, investment banking, equity research, corporate development, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of six years of leadership experience managing people, programs, or enterprise-level initiatives.
- Experience supporting public company reporting, earnings processes, board reporting, investor communications, or capital markets activities.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic recommendations and influence executive-level decisions.
- Experience interacting with senior leaders, investors, analysts, rating agencies, lenders, or other external financial stakeholders.
- Strong financial modeling, analysis, business planning, and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Proven ability to manage highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to remain compliant with Company policies, processes, and legal guidelines.
Preferred:
- Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CFA, CPA, CTP, IRC or other relevant professional designation.
- Experience serving in an investor relations leadership role for a publicly traded company.
- Experience supporting debt issuance, securitizations, funding strategies, liquidity management, or other treasury-related activities.
- Experience with capital markets transactions, equity research, institutional investing, corporate valuation, or investment banking.
- Experience building investor relations functions, reporting frameworks, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Experience leveraging AI, automation, and advanced analytics to improve financial reporting and investor communications.
Targeted Compensation: $230,000 – $260,000 base salary + annual bonus plan
This position is not currently open to individuals who require sponsorship now or in the future to work legally for Credit Acceptance, such as H-1b / H-4 or F-1 OPT visa holders.
