Responsibilities
Peraton is looking for an experienced and driven Contracts Administration Senior Advisor to support our Federal/Civilian Services portfolio to join our dynamic and growing Contracts team. This is a high-impact role where you'll manage a diverse portfolio of government contracts, serve as a trusted advisor to program teams, and play a key part in ensuring mission success from contract award through closeout. Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse portfolio of contracts across various types, complexities, and sizes — with strong ability to identify and advise program teams on contract cost and performance risk
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships internally and externally — acting as a collaborative team leader who resolves issues quickly and streamlines processes
- Serve as the go-to contractual expert for Project Managers, providing clear guidance on requirements and helping teams navigate challenges with confidence
- Partner closely with internal program teams and/or customers to tackle highly complex challenges and deliver creative, effective solutions
- Advise program team and organizational leadership of contractual rights and obligations; with strong ability to develop and communicate holistic assessments of contract terms/conditions, associated implications and identify/articulate changes
- Monitor program performance for conformance to original proposal and maintains continual reviews to ensure that all terms and conditions are met and that the contract is in accordance with legal requirements, customer specifications, and government regulations.
- Draft and/or revise contract letters (e.g., letters of concern), change agreements and contract performance responses (e.g., self-assessments/rebuttals)
- Execute, facilitate, and/or support effective: program change management behaviors and customer conflict resolution
- Contribute to proposal efforts by assisting with price/cost proposals and narratives
- Analyze, draft, and negotiate a wide range of agreements including Teaming Agreements, NDAs, MOUs, MOAs, and other binding instruments
- Prepare and disseminate information throughout the organization regarding contract status, compliance, modification, deviation, negotiation, and termination.
- Lead contract start-up and closeout processes, ensuring smooth transitions at every stage of the contract lifecycle
- Champion sound business principles that support departmental and divisional goals
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field and 12+ years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 10+ years of experience; or 16+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Flexibility to support periodic travel to attend on-site meetings at Peraton facilities and/or customer sites
- Self-starter mentality with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and in a team-based environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external management, strong research and analysis, and critical thinking skills
- Hands-on experience and working application knowledge of Government contracts and subcontracts under FAR, DFARS, and applicable agency supplements
- Demonstrated experience responding to customer solicitations, participating in proposal and pre-award strategy and review meetings, conducting negotiations, and drafting/finalizing contracts
- Working knowledge of relationship between, and development of, basis of estimates (BOE), work breakdown structure (WBS) and cost and pricing principles
- Proficiency in compliance with, and implementation of, corporate and contract management requirements--with disciplined adherence to policies and procedures
- Experience executing contract closeout — including finalizing outstanding issues, issuing final modifications and invoices, and coordinating contractor performance evaluations
- Must be a US Citizen
Preferred:
- Preference is a candidate residing in the Northern Virginia / Maryland / Washington, DC area
- Deep knowledge of contract types, terms, and conditions
- Familiarity with the basics of commercial contracting frameworks/terms and conditions; with experience negotiating/managing FAR Part 12 contracts, OTAs etc.
- Experience administering Government-wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) vehicles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) tools and familiarity with use of contracts management system/tools
- Familiarity with use of Artificial Intelligence tools in providing contracts management support
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance is a plus

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.EEO
