Aviation Program Analyst
Location: Remote (U.S.-based)

Position Overview
Crown Innovations is seeking a motivated Aviation Program Analyst to support a growing portfolio of state government, federal, and commercial aviation initiatives focused on Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), airport electrification, and emerging aviation technologies.
This role is ideal for a professional with approximately 3-4 years of experience in aviation, aerospace, transportation, UAS, AAM, airport planning, or a related field. The successful candidate will support program delivery, stakeholder engagement, research and analysis, technical writing, and implementation planning for innovative aviation programs across the United States.
The position provides the opportunity to work directly with state departments of transportation, airports, industry leaders, healthcare systems, utility companies, OEMs and operators of aviation systems, federal agencies, and emerging aviation technology companies helping shape the future of aviation. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project execution, coordinating stakeholders, developing technical content, and helping clients solve problems through planning work and advisory for the implementation of emerging aviation technologies.
Key Responsibilities

  • Program and Project Support
  • Support the successful execution of aviation, UAS, AAM, and airport-related projects and programs.
  • Maintain project schedules, task trackers, action-item logs, timelines, and project management tools.
  • Coordinate activities among clients, internal team members, subject matter experts, and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of project status reports, progress updates, meeting summaries, and client communications.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and project risks to help ensure on-time project delivery.
  • Support program implementation efforts and large-scale aviation initiatives involving government and industry partners.
  • Research and Analysis
  • Conduct research on UAS, Advanced Air Mobility, airport electrification, emerging aviation technologies, and related policy developments.
  • Track and analyze state, local, and federal initiatives supporting advanced aviation integration.
  • Monitor programs such as FAA eIPP, BEYOND, SMART, and other emerging aviation initiatives.
  • Support environmental, regulatory, operational, infrastructure, and economic analyses associated with aviation projects.
  • Develop market assessments, implementation strategies, and industry research summaries.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Coordinate outreach efforts with airports, government agencies, industry organizations, private companies, and community stakeholders.
  • Develop interview guides, surveys, questionnaires, and stakeholder engagement materials.
  • Conduct virtual and in-person interviews with organizations evaluating UAS and AAM applications, including healthcare, utilities, infrastructure, logistics, emergency response, and construction sectors.
  • Document findings and prepare recommendations, summaries, and implementation considerations.
  • Technical Writing and Communications
  • Draft technical reports, white papers, research papers, case studies, presentations, and briefing materials.
  • Support the development of thought leadership content related to advanced aviation technologies and implementation strategies.
  • Prepare client-ready deliverables and executive-level communications.
  • Assist with proposal development, grant applications, and business growth initiatives.
  • Industry and Market Intelligence
  • Track airports, states, utilities, and industry organizations implementing UAS, AAM, and electrification initiatives.
  • Monitor developments in FAA policy, industry trends, infrastructure investments, and technology adoption.
  • Maintain awareness of key stakeholders, technology providers, operators, and emerging market opportunities across the advanced aviation ecosystem.
  • Support development of GIS-based analyses, mapping products, dashboards, and visualization tools to communicate aviation infrastructure, UAS, AAM, and airport planning information to clients and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aerospace, Transportation Planning, or a related field.
  • Approximately 3-5 years of professional experience supporting aviation, aerospace, transportation, airport planning, UAS, AAM, or related consulting and infrastructure projects.
  • Working knowledge of Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), airport operations, aviation planning, or emerging aviation technologies.
  • Experience supporting project delivery, stakeholder coordination, client engagement, or consulting projects involving multiple organizations and technical subject matter experts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Ability to synthesize technical, regulatory, operational, and market information into actionable recommendations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to conduct interviews, facilitate discussions, and engage with industry, government, and airport stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification or the ability to obtain certification within six months of hire.
  • Experience with airport planning, airport development, Airport Layout Plans (ALPs), aviation infrastructure, or FAA-related projects.
  • Experience supporting AAM, UAS integration, drone operations, remote sensing, photogrammetry, or related technology initiatives.
  • Knowledge of GIS analysis, geospatial data management, web-based mapping applications, or spatial analysis tools.
  • Experience conducting stakeholder outreach, workshops, interviews, surveys, or public engagement activities.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, or local government programs related to aviation, transportation, infrastructure, or emerging technologies.
  • Experience with data visualization, business intelligence, and analytical tools.
  • Participation in aviation industry organizations such as AUVSI, AAAE, NASAO, NBAA, AOPA, or similar professional associations.
