We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our legal team as a Trial Attorney. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing a docket of employment law cases, ensuring efficient case progression, and achieving favorable outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
· Represent clients in court trials, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.
· Develop case strategies and present arguments before judges and juries.
· Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
· Interview witnesses, gather evidence, and prepare for trial.
· Negotiate settlements and plea agreements when appropriate.
· Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on litigation matters.
· Work collaboratively with legal teams, paralegals, and investigators.
· Stay up to date with changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents.
· Manage and supervise junior attorneys and support staff.
· Review and analyze complex employment law documents and contracts.
· Monitor compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
· Participate in client development and business generation activities.
· Maintain detailed case files and documentation.
· Develop and implement litigation budgets.
· Coordinate with expert witnesses and consultants.
Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Bar Admission: Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
Experience:
· 2 years of litigation experience
· Ideally, the candidate will have trial experience.
· Strong background in procedural rules (e.g., Rule 23 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure).
Skills:
· Ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict deadlines.
· Project management and ability to work as a team player with litigation associates.
