**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **ABAD Network Engineer** to join our team! In this role you will get to provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. ** **This position is located at Ramstein Air Base, Germany (International Assignment) *NO REMOTE WORK****
**What You'll Be Doing:**
- Conduct cost/benefit analysis and provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements
- Conduct testing of network design
- Responsible for monitoring network hardware operations to ensure properly set configuration options
- Plan implementation of enhancements and upgrades to the network
- Advise network users of hardware requirements, configurations, and limitations
- Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Implement and maintain current and future wide-area networks (WANs)
- Configure and validate Access Control Lists (ACLs) to enhance network security
- Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to network devices
- Implement, configure, and manage Palo-Alto network devices using Panorama device management software
- Configure network monitoring software utilizing SNMP traps, NetFlow, and IPFIX to monitor and troubleshoot networking issues on critical systems
- Work with Systems Engineers to plan for and design network upgrades and installations
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or information technology with 2+ years of related professional experience or an Associate's degree with 7 years’ of related experience.
- Experience with network tunneling, provisioning, and routing tables
- Experience configuring services in a Linux environment
- Experience with data parsing and segmentation, multicast implementation
- Experience working with Java Virtual Machine (JVM)
- Advanced knowledge of networking principles and IPSEC
- Advanced knowledge of switches, routers, and firewalls
- Familiarity with network and system documentation in Visio
- Secret clearance is required

**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**
- CCNP certification
- Experience with Red Hat OS
- Experience with Panorama firewall management solution
- Experience with Cisco NEXUS series switches
- Familiarity with LiveAction (LiveNX) network monitoring software
- Familiarity with VINE management solution
- Familiarity with Cross Domain Solution (CDS) systems
- Experience with network design, architecting, and diagramming
**Security Clearance Requirement:**
An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $74,800.00 - $130,900.00
