Job Title: VP, Product Operations
Location: Canada – Remote OR Mississauga, ON – Hybrid
**Travel to Office expectations**
For Remote Roles: If this role is remote, there will be in-office events that will require travel to and from the Mississauga and/or Salt Lake City office. These will include, but not limited to, onboarding, team events, semi-annual and annual team meetings.

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO), the Vice President, Product Operations leads the Product Operations function and is responsible for establishing, evolving, and scaling the processes, governance frameworks, planning practices, and operating rhythms that enable effective execution across PointClickCare’s Product and Engineering organization.
This role partners closely with leaders across Product, Engineering, Finance, Strategy, and other key functions to improve portfolio visibility, planning effectiveness, decision-making, and organizational alignment. Through strong operational leadership, data-driven insights, and cross-functional collaboration, the VP plays a critical role in enabling disciplined execution of strategic priorities and driving continuous improvement across Product and Engineering performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead annual, quarterly, and ongoing Product portfolio planning processes across Product and Engineering teams.
- Facilitate cross-functional planning discussions, portfolio reviews, and prioritization activities that balance strategic objectives, capacity considerations, dependencies, and resource trade-offs.
- Establish and evolve governance frameworks that promote transparency, accountability, alignment, and effective decision-making across the organization.
- Monitor portfolio performance and execution health, identifying opportunities to improve planning effectiveness, predictability, and delivery outcomes.
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Product Operations processes, standards, and operating practices.
- Establish planning cadences, portfolio reviews, operating forums, and governance mechanisms that support efficient execution and organizational alignment.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, UX/UI, and business stakeholders to improve coordination, operational effectiveness, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Develop and maintain portfolio performance reporting, operational metrics, dashboards, and executive-level insights that support business and investment decisions.
- Provide leadership teams with visibility into portfolio progress, business outcomes, risks, dependencies, and execution challenges.
- Leverage data and operational insights to inform prioritization, planning, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Advance product management capability by establishing operational standards, frameworks, tools, and best practices that support Product team effectiveness.
- Partner with Product leaders to strengthen portfolio management, planning processes, delivery practices, and organizational maturity.
- Support Product leadership planning cycles, business reviews, and strategic operational initiatives with analysis, recommendations, and decision support.
- Identify operational risks, execution challenges, and cross-functional dependencies, recommending mitigation strategies and improvement opportunities.
- Lead, coach, and develop Product Operations leaders and team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- MBA or other advanced degree in Business, Technology, or a related field is considered an asset.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Product Operations, Portfolio Management, PMO, Product Management, Strategy, or a related business operations function within a complex technology organization.
- Demonstrated experience leading planning, governance, portfolio management, and operational processes that support execution across large, cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and build alignment across Product, Engineering, Finance, Strategy, and other business functions to achieve organizational objectives.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and operational leadership skills, including experience leveraging metrics, reporting, and business insights to support planning, prioritization, and executive decision-making.
- Experience leading and developing managers and professional teams, including responsibility for talent development, performance management, and organizational effectiveness.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across executive leadership teams and complex organizational structures.
- Experience supporting Product and Engineering organizations within a SaaS, healthcare technology, or other technology-driven environment is preferred.
- Experience implementing or improving Product Operations, portfolio management, governance, or planning practices during periods of organizational growth and change is preferred.

Our salary ranges are determined by job and level.
