Project Description
The candidate will work on the client’s AI agents that automate operational processes in internal business operations. The main goal is to deliver measurable time savings across business functions such as finance operations, document processing, data cleaning, and other shared-service activities.
Initial use cases may include extracting and normalizing similar data from hundreds of differently structured Excel files and mapping them into a common data model for further processing, querying, or analysis.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Python-based AI agents for business-process automation
- Work directly with business stakeholders to understand operational processes, source data, documents, expected outputs, and business rules
- Translate business needs into practical AI-assisted workflows
- Build agent logic, prompts, validation steps, and supporting Python services
- Process and normalize structured and semi-structured business data
- Extract comparable information from Excel files with different structures, layouts, and templates
- Map heterogeneous Excel data into a common target model for downstream processing or analysis
- Combine deterministic Python processing with LLM-based interpretation where appropriate
- Integrate AI agents with enterprise applications, data sources, and APIs
- Implement data-quality checks, output validation, logging, error handling, and human-review steps
- Test agents against representative business scenarios and improve reliability
- Work within the Client’s approved AI framework, security rules, and technology constraints
- Support deployment, documentation, knowledge transfer, and initial production adoption
- Communicate progress, risks, and technical limitations clearly to business and technical stakeholders
Requirements
· 4+ years of commercial Python development experience
- Practical experience building AI/LLM-powered applications or AI agents
- Experience with prompt engineering and structured LLM outputs
- Experience integrating LLMs via APIs or enterprise AI platforms
- Strong experience processing data from Excel files using Python
- Experience with pandas, openpyxl, Polars, or similar tools
- Ability to analyze and normalize data from files with inconsistent schemas, column names, layouts, and data formats
- Experience designing data extraction, transformation, mapping, and validation pipelines
- Understanding of when to use deterministic rules, traditional data processing, or LLM-based interpretation
- Experience with REST APIs and enterprise-system integrations
- Ability to implement validation, exception handling, logging, and traceability
- Understanding of enterprise security, access control, and sensitive-data handling
- Ability to communicate with business users, clarify requirements, and convert operational processes into technical solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in English with international stakeholders
- Availability for occasional on-site meetings or workshops if required
Nice to have:
- Experience automating finance, claims, customs, logistics, documentation, or other shared-service processes
- Experience delivering automation with measurable time or cost savings
- Experience with multi-agent or agent-orchestration frameworks
- Experience with Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, or comparable enterprise AI platforms
- Experience with document understanding, classification, or information-extraction solutions
- Knowledge of RPA platforms and hybrid RPA/AI workflows
- Experience with FastAPI, Docker, and cloud-based deployment
- Familiarity with data-quality frameworks and master-data models
- Experience with human-in-the-loop review and confidence-based routing
- Experience working in a large international enterprise with controlled technology and security standards
- Previous customer-facing consulting or business-analysis experience
