Senior Project Manager
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to support a public sector organization's energy modernization and IT system transformation portfolio. This role will oversee four critical digital initiatives designed to ensure statutory compliance, strengthen cybersecurity, and modernize legacy infrastructure for physical commodity tracking, sophisticated calculations, and multi-system integrations. The Senior IT Project Manager will lead a diverse portfolio spanning platform migrations, regulatory frameworks, and modernized application systems, working across multiple business units and external partners to deliver transformational outcomes.
This position requires someone who can coordinate and deliver complex IT projects from initiation through completion to support a suite of high-priority digital transformations. The role encompasses establishing project timelines, assigning tasks, tracking progress, and maintaining effective relationships with project teams, vendors, and cross-departmental partners. Key responsibilities include compiling project charters and business plans, managing projects that document business requirements and deliver compliant IT solutions, leading risk and impact assessments, producing deliverables for steering committees and stakeholders, creating and managing project budgets, managing multiple concurrent projects and governance structures, collaborating with sponsors to develop well-defined project plans, documenting and reporting project status against objectives and milestones, developing project schedules and resource strategies, and providing leadership on change management and communication support.
Qualifications
- 4+ years - Project Manager experience with ADX Studio and CRM Dynamics to Power Applications and Dataverse migrations
- 8+ years - Defining project scope and goals in collaboration with business stakeholders
- 8+ years - Developing project deliverables including project charters, business cases, briefing notes, status reports, risk logs, project closures and dashboards
- 8+ years - Managing multiple projects concurrently
- 8+ years - Project Manager experience on large complex custom software application development projects in an environment of similar size and complexity to a large public sector organization
- One of the following education credentials: University degree in business, management or related discipline plus 4+ years of Project Management experience; OR two-year diploma in business, management or related discipline plus 6+ years of Project Management experience; OR one-year certificate in business, management or related discipline plus 7+ years of Project Management experience; OR 8+ years of Project Management experience
Nice to Have
- 3+ years - Conducting, facilitating and interpreting impact and risk assessments across multiple scenarios
- 3+ years - Creating and managing project forecast and actual budgets
- 3+ years - Leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels
- 3+ years - Public sector experience
- 3+ years - Working with mandated and legislated projects within short timelines
