The Specialist Solutions Architect, Cloud Services plays an important role in providing deep technical sales support for the execution of Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies related to Red Hat's managed cloud services, including Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA), Red Hat OpenShift Dedicated on Google Cloud, and Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO). As Managed OpenShift penetrates further into customer cloud strategies, you will be responsible for articulating how organizations can use these services to their advantage in their search for operational efficiency, faster time to value, and reduced operational burden. Along with being able to articulate the value of Cloud Services, you will bring technical expertise that enables you to help remove organizational, competitive, and technical blockers to adoption and guide customers toward a production-ready, enterprise-approved Managed OpenShift architecture.
You will need to be able to confidently articulate our value proposition to leadership, operations teams, and developers within the account. Using architecture walkthroughs, business-value conversations, and Success Planning, you will help provide an end-to-end path to production that allows customers to realize the business value of Cloud Services and understand the path forward with Red Hat as a trusted partner.
You will work closely with account teams, Customer Success, and Red Hat's Managed OpenShift Product and SRE teams to identify opportunities and gaps, provide ongoing product feedback, and ensure a positive customer experience that results in revenue generation and ongoing renewal.
What you will do
- Partner with account teams and Customer Success to identify customer use cases, challenges, and blockers to adoption and consumption of Managed OpenShift within new and existing customer accounts
- Help remove organizational, competitive, and technical blockers to the adoption of enterprise-wide Managed OpenShift
- Provide technical guidance in defining a customer-approved, enterprise-ready Managed OpenShift architecture, and contribute to Success Planning building, curation, and execution
- Plan, design, and execute tailored solutions that address customer adoption blockers, leveraging additional support and resources from Red Hat as required
- Provide ongoing feedback to the Managed OpenShift Product and SRE teams to help improve the product
- Support the design of solutions that meet customer business and technical requirements, working directly with customers to make technical recommendations
- Demonstrate consultative selling skills, designing and proposing solutions with business acumen
- Identify and partner with customer champions, acting as an advocate for Cloud Services within both the customer's organization and Red Hat
- Share knowledge and findings with team members to allow them to learn from your successes and mistakes
- Facilitate pre- and post-sales activities including technical deep dives, proofs of concept, workshops, and internal enablement events
What you will bring
- 5+ years of experience as a sales engineer, consultant, IT architect, or in an equivalent customer-facing technical role within enterprise accounts
- Strong knowledge of cloud services providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and their native services ecosystems
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat's managed cloud services offerings, including ROSA and ARO, and solid working knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift
- Solid product knowledge across the broader Red Hat portfolio, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, and Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization
- Consultative selling skills, with the ability to design and propose solutions with business acumen
- Record of developing relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels throughout large enterprise IT organizations
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
- Broad understanding of the application lifecycle from development to operations (DevOps), including containers, container management and security, and CI/CD tooling
- Willingness to travel as required to support account teams and customer engagements
Preferred Certifications
- Relevant mid-level Red Hat certifications for specialty area (examples include RHCSDSM, RHCSDAAAP, RHCSOAD, RHCSOIA)
- Public cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
The salary range for this position is $150,910.00 - $241,440.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
