• Engineering multi-site deployments of a variety of Windows Server based applications and services aligned to the broader platform architecture and that meet formal requirements related to customer capabilities and use cases.

• Engineering of Microsoft endpoint solutions, both physical and virtual.

• Automating the repeatable delivery of Windows based operating systems, applications, and configuration.

• Contribute to the overall design and development of the broader Microsoft eco system.

• Development and refinement of security hardened Windows server and client based SOEs.

• Working closely with other disciplines within the delivery team to ensure that the services and applications being deployed align to Microsoft best practices and provide the necessary integration points such as those related to authentication and authorisation.

• Development of detailed design, operational artefacts, and as-built documentation to support the delivery.

• Working with the test team to ensure that capabilities meet the intent of formal requirements.

• Assisting with planning for a multi-phase delivery.

Essential Experience

• Minimum NV1 security clearance with the ability to pass additional security assessments.

• 5+ years working with Microsoft technologies at scale.

• Designing, deploying, and operating a variety of Windows-based applications and technologies on-premises, and at enterprise scale.

• Strong understanding of Active Directory and related services including Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.

• Working with Windows in a virtualised environment.

• Troubleshooting complex Windows issues across desktop and server.

• Demonstrable experience using PowerShell and WinRM to automate and script a variety of activities on Windows systems.

• A working knowledge of networking and troubleshooting within the Microsoft ecosystem.

• Strong working knowledge of the Essential 8 and associated ISM controls.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working in highly secure domains.

• Automating the delivery of Windows operating systems and applications.

• A working knowledge of 3rd party automation tools including VMWare vRA and Ansible.

• Engineering or operational experience with other commong Microsoft services including ADCS, ADFS, SQL and SCCM/MECM.

• Experience working with Microsoft operating systems using VMware at enterprise scale.

• Experience delivery Microsoft services through automation and working in a DevSecOps environment highly desirable.

• Application packaging using Installshield or similar toolset.
