Company Overview
Would you enjoy using technology to help people work more effectively and support the systems behind complex, high-impact projects?
Connico is a national construction consultancy known for its experienced team and commitment to exceptional client service. With deep experience in aviation and complex infrastructure, we are continuing to expand our work across energy, federal, and defense markets.
Behind that work is a growing need for reliable technology, secure systems, efficient workflows, and responsive internal support. Our IT and business systems functions play an important role in keeping our teams connected, productive, and equipped to serve our clients.
Our work is technical, but how we do the work matters just as much as the quality of what we deliver. Our core values of Respect, Integrity, Innovation, Resiliency, Inclusivity, and Thoughtfulness guide how we work with our clients and with one another.
About the Role
Connico is seeking an IT & Business Systems Administrator to serve as a key internal resource for employee technology support, business systems, and cybersecurity compliance.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving everyday technology problems while also working with the systems and processes that support Connico’s project teams. You’ll manage routine employee technology and device needs, administer SharePoint and other business systems, coordinate with external technology partners, and help carry out Connico’s CMMC cybersecurity requirements.
You do not need to arrive as an expert in every system or compliance framework we use. We’re looking for someone with a strong IT foundation, sound troubleshooting judgment, and the ability to learn new systems and take on greater technical depth as they become familiar with Connico’s operations.
What You’ll Do
End-User Support, Devices & Technology Coordination
- Serve as Connico’s primary internal resource for Tier 1 technology support, resolving routine issues involving connectivity, account access, Microsoft 365, software, printing, peripherals, and other everyday technology needs.
- Manage employee technology onboarding and offboarding, including device setup and recovery, software installation, accounts, permissions, security groups, and multi-factor authentication.
- Maintain company devices and coordinate updates, endpoint security, backups, repairs, upgrades, replacements, refresh cycles, and secure disposal.
- Maintain device, software-license, warranty, and assignment records and support renewals and inventory management.
- Coordinate with Connico’s external IT consultant and technology vendors when additional expertise is needed and track issues through resolution.
Systems, Workflow & Reporting
· Administer SharePoint, including user access, permissions, document libraries, site structure, document organization, synchronization, and routine maintenance.
- Support Connico’s business systems, including Monday.com and Deltek Ajera, with user access, project setup, boards, forms, workflows, and system configuration.
- Build greater proficiency with system automations and integrations and help improve internal project-management workflows.
- Support reporting needs and develop or maintain SQL-based reports and dashboards as proficiency with Connico’s systems grows.
- Partner with Connico’s Digital Transformation team and other stakeholders to identify system and process improvements.
Cybersecurity & CMMC
· Carry out Connico’s established CMMC and cybersecurity requirements, with support from leadership and external cybersecurity consultants as needed.
- Support and monitor secured devices, employee accounts, access requirements, endpoint controls, and recurring security checks.
- Maintain required compliance records and evidence and follow identified issues through remediation.
- Support recurring CMMC activities, internal and external assessments, and audit readiness.
- Report suspected security incidents or policy deviations and help reinforce secure technology practices across the organization.
As You Grow in the Role
As you become familiar with Connico’s people, systems, and processes, you’ll take on additional responsibilities such as:
· Developing more advanced workflows, automations, integrations, reports, and dashboards.
- Creating user guides, FAQs, technology documentation, and cybersecurity training resources.
- Supporting employee technology education and following up on recurring training or support needs.
- Maintaining Connico’s intranet and homepage and coordinating approved public website updates.
What We’re Looking For
Required
· 3–5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, software development, technical coordination, or a related role.
- Strong experience supporting Windows devices, Microsoft 365, software installations, user accounts, access, and common connectivity issues.
- Working experience administering SharePoint or a comparable document-management environment.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, endpoint protection, and access management.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot routine technology issues and determine when escalation is appropriate.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple support needs.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical employees.
- Curiosity and demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and systems.
Preferred
· Experience with Monday.com, Deltek Ajera, or comparable business systems.
- Experience or exposure to SQL, relational databases, dashboards, or reporting tools.
- Familiarity with CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, or another cybersecurity compliance framework.
- Experience with compliance documentation, access reviews, audit support, or system-security records.
- Experience coordinating with outsourced IT providers, cybersecurity consultants, or software vendors.
- Experience with workflow automation or process improvement.
Who Will Be Successful in This Role?
You may be a strong fit if you:
· Enjoy solving technology problems and helping employees get back to work quickly.
- Troubleshoot independently but recognize when an issue needs to be escalated.
- Are interested in both day-to-day IT and how technology can improve business processes.
- Communicate comfortably with technical partners and non-technical employees.
- Are organized, responsive, curious, and motivated to expand your technical capabilities over time.
Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $65,000–$80,000 annually, depending on experience and demonstrated capability.
Candidates are not expected to arrive with expert-level knowledge of every Connico system or CMMC requirement. The strongest candidates will bring the core IT and SharePoint foundation needed to contribute immediately, along with the aptitude to develop broader business-systems, reporting, automation, and compliance capabilities.
Work Location Options
Hybrid (T/W/TH in-office):
- Hebron, KY (Cincinnati area)
- Mt. Juliet, TN (Nashville area)
- Denver, CO
- Indianapolis, IN
Fully Remote:
- Fully remote opportunity for the right candidate. Must reside full-time in the U.S.
- Minimal travel required, up to 10% (site visits, meetings, conferences)
Why Join Connico?
This is an opportunity to do more than resolve support tickets. You will help improve the technology, systems, and workflows that keep Connico’s teams productive and support the delivery of complex projects across the country.
As Connico continues to grow across aviation, infrastructure, energy, federal, and defense markets, our internal technology and business systems are becoming increasingly important. In this role, you will have the opportunity to strengthen day-to-day IT support, improve how employees use core systems, support cybersecurity and CMMC requirements, and help develop more efficient workflows, reporting, and automation over time.
We value people who take ownership, bring solutions, learn quickly, communicate clearly, and look for better ways to work. You will have room to grow your technical capabilities while making a visible impact across the organization.
If you enjoy solving problems, helping people, improving systems, and building broader IT and business-systems experience, we would like to hear from you!
