Position Summary
Scicom Infrastructure Services is seeking a part-time Strategic Alliances and Partner Manager to manage and strengthen relationships with our technology and ISV partners, including organizations such as Dynatrace, Datadog, Databricks, BigPanda, SpaceX, and other strategic technology providers.
This individual will serve as the primary point of coordination between Scicom and our partner organizations, ensuring that we understand and meet partner program requirements, maintain appropriate certifications and competencies, and take full advantage of available training, sales, technical, marketing, and business development resources.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working across technical, sales, operations, and executive teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage ongoing relationships with Scicom's technology, ISV, and strategic partners.
- Serve as the primary internal point of contact for partner programs, requirements, initiatives, and communications.
- Develop a strong understanding of each partner's program structure, certification requirements, competency levels, benefits, and available resources.
- Maintain documentation of requirements necessary to achieve or maintain partner status, tiers, competencies, or specializations.
- Track employee training and certification requirements across partner programs.
- Coordinate with employees and leadership to ensure required partner courses, training programs, and certifications are completed on schedule.
- Maintain a centralized certification and partner-requirements tracker, including certification expiration and renewal dates.
- Identify new training and certification opportunities that support Scicom's technical capabilities and strategic objectives.
- Schedule and participate in regular meetings with partner/channel representatives.
- Build relationships with partner account managers, channel managers, technical teams, and alliance representatives.
- Identify partner incentives, rebates, credits, funding programs, marketing resources, training resources, and other benefits available to Scicom.
- Ensure Scicom is utilizing the full range of resources available through each partner program.
- Monitor changes to partner programs and communicate relevant requirements or opportunities to leadership.
- Coordinate completion of partner applications, documentation, renewals, business plans, and compliance requirements.
- Identify opportunities for joint business development, co-selling, referrals, lead generation, and partner-supported client opportunities.
- Work with internal leadership to align certifications and partner investments with Scicom's service offerings and growth strategy.
- Assist with partner portals, opportunity registration, deal registration, certification records, and other administrative partner activities.
- Provide periodic updates to leadership regarding partner status, certification progress, upcoming requirements, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Experience in channel management, strategic alliances, technology partnerships, vendor management, or a related role.
- Experience working with technology vendors, ISVs, cloud providers, SaaS companies, or IT consulting organizations strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with partner programs, certification programs, and technology vendor ecosystems.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage requirements across multiple partners simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with technical employees, sales teams, executives, and external partner representatives.
- Strong follow-through and attention to deadlines, certification requirements, and partner program milestones.
- Comfortable working independently in a consulting or part-time capacity.
- Experience with partner portals, CRM systems, certification tracking, or similar tools is preferred.
Key Measures of Success
Success in this role will include:
- Maintaining Scicom's good standing with strategic technology partners.
- Ensuring required employee certifications and partner competencies are completed and maintained.
- Increasing utilization of partner training, resources, programs, and incentives.
- Developing stronger relationships with partner representatives and channel teams.
- Identifying opportunities that generate new business, technical capabilities, or financial value for Scicom.
- Providing leadership with clear visibility into the status and value of each strategic partnership.
Position Type
Part-Time Consultant
This position is expected to work independently and collaboratively with Scicom leadership, technical resources, and external technology partners. Hours may fluctuate based on partner initiatives, certification deadlines, and business development activities.
