The Psychiatric Support Coordinator is an active participant of the Psychiatry Operations team. Their main responsibilities revolve around provider, patient, and operations requests. They will manage a multitude of responsibilities to help alleviate additional work for Foresight providers. This position is challenged to balance all of the priorities of prescriber and patient requests efficiently and effectively. They will work closely with fellow team members and team leaders. You will have active involvement in the growth and changes as the department develops, therefore adaptability is absolutely essential to this position.
As a Psychiatric Support Coordinator, you will:
- Work a full-time hourly position with a schedule of 11am-8pm CST
- Hybrid 2-3 days in office in our Tulsa, OK office location
- Fully remote for candidates based in Texas, Arizona, or California.
- Collaborate with department leads and team members to ensure tasks are handled promptly and properly
- Attend meetings placed by supervisor(s) to stay up to date with relevant changes
- Communicate and collaborate with team members and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Coordinate scheduling, medication refill requests, prior authorizations, lab orders and genetic testing, as well as assisting in documentation requests.
- Complete AMD and G-Suite tasks in order to achieve the projected metrics.
- Effectively utilize conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques to resolve any patient issues and support distressed patients
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in the mental health field/Clinical Setting preferably as a pharmacy technician or medical assistant
- One-plus year of customer experience
- Proficiency in EHR systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and calm in high-stress and crisis situations
- Ability to work on a computer for prolonged periods while sitting at a desk
- Access to a private workspace that complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy guidelines
- A self-starter attitude, with a passion to grow, learn, organize and create in service to improving mental health care
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-player attitude
- Attention to detail, and a willingness to ask for help
