- 熟悉电子表格和基本的绩效指标。
- 具备测试和学习的心态:你不仅对执行活动感兴趣,还希望找到提高活动效果的方法。

1 big thing: Axios is a modern media company dedicated to providing trustworthy, award-winning news content in an audience-first format. We are looking for a part-time, temporary Local Memberships Marketing Coordinator to run and help scale member giveaways across our Local markets.
Why it matters: Giveaways have proven to be a strong acquisition and engagement tactic. Five recent campaigns generated an overall 4x positive ROI across every market tested. We now want to test whether this can become a repeatable growth program across all Axios Local markets.
The opportunity is significant, but execution is highly manual. This individual will own the day-to-day coordination and execution of the program so the Membership team can increase campaign volume, test performance across markets, and determine whether giveaways should become a standing acquisition channel.
Go deeper: In this role you will manage Local member giveaways end to end, including:
- Build and maintain the giveaway calendar across Local markets, targeting roughly four campaigns per week.
- Coordinate with local journalists to identify restaurants, businesses and institutions that make each giveaway feel authentically local.
- Draft campaign copy, including member announcements, acquisition emails and last-chance messaging.
- Draft newsletter callouts for local editors and newsletter writers.
- Coordinate campaign setup and launch across internal teams and tools.
- Pull eligible member lists, randomly select winners and manage winner outreach.
- Purchase and digitally deliver gift cards.
- Track results by campaign, including members acquired, revenue generated and prize cost.
- Maintain a simple performance tracker and surface patterns in what is working.
- Help improve the underlying process by documenting repeatable workflows, templates and opportunities to reduce manual work.
Skills:
- Strong project management and organizational skills; you can manage multiple campaigns and deadlines at once without losing details.
- Strong writing and editing skills, particularly for concise promotional and email copy.
- Comfort working independently and coordinating across multiple teams.
- High attention to detail, especially around campaign eligibility, winner selection and fulfillment.
- Comfort working with spreadsheets and basic performance metrics.
- A test-and-learn mindset: you are interested not just in executing campaigns, but in identifying ways to make them more effective and easier to scale.
Experience in membership, lifecycle marketing, media, subscriptions or consumer growth is a plus, but not required.
What success looks like:
- Giveaways run consistently and accurately across a growing number of Local markets.
- The program reaches a sustainable cadence without creating significant additional workload for the core Membership team.
- Campaign performance is tracked consistently enough to compare results across markets, timing, messaging and prize selection.
- Strong-performing tactics are identified and incorporated into a reusable giveaway playbook.
- We have a clear data-backed recommendation on whether and how to scale the program longer term.
How you'll work
- Target engagement period: 6 months
- Approximately 15 hours per week.
- Work closely with the Director, Membership & Community and the broader Membership team.
- Coordinate regularly with Axios Local journalists and editors.
- Operate with significant independence once the process and campaign calendar are established.
- Bring issues and opportunities forward early; the goal is to improve the system while running it, not simply execute a checklist.
Starting salary for this role is in the range of $40 - $45 per hour and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills. This range does not include other compensation benefits. Axios' compensation philosophy takes into account cost of labor differentials across the country. Because this is a remote-optional job posting, this salary range takes into account all possible locations within the United States, but candidates will only be eligible for the salary range for their location.
