Job Description
We are seeking an experienced sales consultant to drive wealth management product growth across the MidAtlantic territory. In this role, you will partner with advisors, field leaders and internal business partners to expand awareness, adoption and sales of wealth management solutions. You will have significant influence on business outcomes through relationship management, market insight and thought leadership. This position offers the opportunity to make a measurable impact while representing the organization at client, advisor and broker dealer events.Responsibilities
·Drive territory sales results by developing and strengthening relationships with new and existing advisors through one-on-one meetings, presentations, client events and educational programs.
·Apply a consultative sales approach to influence advisor product selection and identify opportunities that align with client and business needs.
·Partner with sales consultants, field leadership, marketing and other key stakeholders to execute territory business plans and achieve growth objectives.
·Monitor industry trends, competitive developments and regulatory changes, and communicate insights that impact product positioning and sales strategy.
·Travel throughout the territory to conduct advisor engagement activities, deliver training, and represent the organization at regional, national and industry events.
·Leverage customer relationship management tools, sales analytics and proprietary systems to identify opportunities, prepare meetings and improve sales effectiveness.
·Manage territory operations, scheduling, recognition activities, budgets and follow-up processes to enhance efficiency and advisor experience.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry in a sales-focused role with deep investment and wealth management product knowledge
- Experience working in a consultative sales environment with a proven track record of influencing outcomes and driving business growth
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Series 7 license required upon hire
- Active State securities agent registration (S63 or S66) or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Active State IAR registration (S65 or S66) or ability to obtain within 90 days
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional designations such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC), Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP), or similar credentials are preferred
- Strong business acumen and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, customer relationship management platforms and sales analytics tools
- Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment while influencing and motivating diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of Ameriprise business units, advisor channels and field organization structures is preferred

Remote Work
This position is remote. Any expectations for travel or in-person collaboration will be discussed during the hiring process. This position is eligible for remote work in these locations: North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, or New Jersey
Base Pay Salary
The estimated base salary for this role is $150,000 - $200,000 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
