### **✨ One platform, a whole world of opportunity**

The best jobs have always clustered in a handful of the world's wealthiest cities. But talent is everywhere. Oyster set out to close that gap - building a global employment platform that lets companies hire, pay, and care for brilliant people anywhere.

We're proof that a high-performing culture doesn't need an office. Distributed across 60+ countries since 2020, we've built something the industry keeps noticing:

- Ranked **#10 of 250** on TIME and Statista's 2026 list of [America's Top WorkTech Companies](https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-hr-named-10-of-americas-top-worktech-companies-of-2026-by-time)

- Named one of [America's Greatest Startup Workplaces 2026](https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-2026-newsweek-award) by Newsweek

- A [G2 Spring 2026 Leader](https://www.oysterhr.com/library/oyster-named-best-roi-for-any-global-employment-platform-for-g2-spring-2026) across Employer of Record, Global Employment, Multi-country Payroll, and HR Compliance

- The only **B Corp-certified** global employment platform ~ independently verified since 2023

Two of those rankings measured our business impact from the outside. One measured how our own people feel about working here. They landed in the same place ~ because at Oyster, culture and performance aren't separate conversations. They're the same one.

And we're just getting started. If you want to do the best work of your career alongside people who care as much as you do, we'd love for you to apply.

👩‍💻 The Role

**Location:** While this position is posted in a specific region, all of Oyster’s positions are fully remote, and you can work from home. Forever. To create the best experience for our new hire, this role requires that you be based within Spain.

In this role, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring Oyster meets its statutory Health & Safety obligations in Spain. You’ll own the delivery of Spain’s occupational risk prevention requirements, including the design, implementation, and ongoing management of Oyster’s Internal Prevention Service (Servicio de Prevención Propio). You’ll have the independence, authority, and dedicated time needed to ensure we meet local regulatory expectations and maintain high standards of employee safety.

Alongside your core Spain remit, you’ll bring your expertise to Oyster’s global Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) landscape, supporting teams and external partners across regions and countries. You’ll provide regional and global HSE guidance, share best practices, help strengthen consistent standards, and contribute to Oyster’s broader HSE strategy, while keeping Spain compliance firmly at the heart of the role.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about Health & Safety, enjoys working across cultures and geographies, and wants the opportunity to shape how HSE works within a fully remote, global organisation.

#### **Spain Occupational Risk Prevention & Compliance**

- **Internal Prevention Service Management:** Lead the creation, ongoing design, implementation, and management of Oyster’s Internal Prevention Service in Spain.

- **Reporting & Advisory:** Conduct health and safety reports, perform necessary safety measurements, and advise the business on protective measures.

- **Regulatory Liaison:** Provide counsel and representation during Labor Inspection visits, and manage the strategic relationship between Oyster and HSE vendors.

- **Vendor Management:** Manage vendor relationships related to workplace safety and compliance in Spain in partnership with our Vendor Partnerships team.

#### **Global & Regional HSE Ownership**

- **Policy & Strategy Collaboration:** Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders on HSE policies, procedures, and best practices tailored to our unique remote work environment.

- **Audits, Inspections & Committees:** Take the lead on global H&S audits and inspections, while providing strategic support and guidance to H&S committees worldwide.

- **Global Assessment & Monitoring:** Conduct regular remote risk assessments, implement mitigating measures, and continuously monitor and improve our remote global health and safety program.

- **Incident Management:** Investigate and document any global incidents or accidents, implementing swift corrective actions.

- **Regulatory Watch:** Stay up-to-date with relevant global health and safety regulations and best practices to seamlessly integrate safety considerations into remote work processes.

#### **Global HSE Vendor Management**

- **Escalation Management:** Own day-to-day relationships with key Health & Safety and Compliance vendors, building strong knowledge of their capabilities, service models, geographic coverage and operational processes.

- **Vendor Governance:** Manage the vendor lifecycle and performance, including onboarding, KPIs/SLAs, governance, reviews, documentation and offboarding, ensuring partners consistently meet Oyster’s quality, compliance and service expectations.

- **Expert Ownership:** Act as a trusted point of contact for vendor-related issues and escalations, coordinating with vendors and internal teams to investigate root causes, resolve complex issues and maintain clear stakeholder communication.

- **Relationship Management:** Partner with vendors and cross-functional teams to strengthen processes, improve consistency and scalability, reduce operational friction and enhance customer and team member experience.

- **Data & Feedback:** Analyse performance, feedback and trends to identify improvements, leveraging AI and automation where appropriate and sharing learnings across the wider People Services team.

#### **Stakeholder Support & Knowledge Sharing**

- **Content & Training:** Build out relevant content, documentation, and knowledge resources to assist stakeholders with Health & Safety questions, and provide training to increase internal knowledge as required.

- **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Liaise with cross-functional stakeholders and vendors, working closely with Oyster leadership when high-level internal decisions are required.

- **Escalation Management:** Support and manage escalations involving workplace safety concerns or regulatory requirements from other internal teams.

#### **Projects**

- **Project Leadership:** Lead cross-functional projects as a subject matter expert on Health & Safety. Partner with the Director of People Services and cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and independently drive initiatives to completion.

#### **Continuous Improvement & High Performance**

- **Continuous Improvement:** Continuously audit and refine workflows and ways of working to reduce response times and elevate service quality.

- **AI & Automation:** Actively leverage AI responsibly to maximize personal output, sharing best practices with the broader People Services team.

- **Deflection & Enablement:** Analyze recurring ticket trends and received queries to identify systemic issues, proactively building preventative resources for internal teams.

### **What we're looking for 📜**
