Your Role

Alpaca is expanding its brokerage infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, and we’re looking for a Brokerage Operations Manager – Saudi to help build and scale our local operating model.

This is a highly hands-on role for someone who understands Saudi brokerage and capital markets operations and is excited to help establish processes from the ground up. You’ll partner closely with Brokerage Operations leadership and cross-functional teams to develop the procedures, controls, and operational infrastructure required to support Alpaca’s growing Saudi business.

You will play a key role in building standard operating procedures (SOPs), written supervisory procedures (WSPs), controls, and day-to-day workflows across Saudi equities and cash operations. The ideal candidate combines strong operational knowledge with a builder mindset and is comfortable creating new processes, resolving exceptions, and operating within an evolving regulatory and business environment.

Things You Get To Do:

• Help build and operate Alpaca’s Saudi brokerage operations function from the ground up.

• Develop, document, implement, and continuously improve SOPs, WSPs, operational controls, and escalation procedures for Saudi brokerage activities.

• Support day-to-day operations for Saudi equities, including trade lifecycle and post-trade operational workflows.

• Manage and oversee cash and money movement processes, including deposits, withdrawals, funding, settlement-related activity, reconciliations, and exceptions.

• Monitor daily operational activity and reporting, investigate breaks and exceptions, and coordinate timely resolution.

• Support operational processes involving Saudi market infrastructure, counterparties, banking partners, and other brokerage partners.

• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Finance, Treasury, and other teams to design scalable operational workflows as Alpaca expands its Saudi offering.

• Establish appropriate operational controls, documentation, reporting, service levels, and escalation frameworks.

• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

• Support new product and market launches by defining operational requirements, controls, testing, and readiness procedures.

• Serve as an operational subject-matter expert for Saudi brokerage processes and help troubleshoot complex issues as they arise.

• Support audits, regulatory requests, control testing, and other operational initiatives as needed.

• Take ownership of new responsibilities and projects as Alpaca’s Saudi business continues to grow.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• 3–7+ years of experience in brokerage, securities, capital markets, or financial-services operations, with direct Saudi market experience strongly preferred.

• Hands-on experience supporting equities, brokerage operations, trade operations, cash operations, or securities settlement.

• Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, settlement, reconciliations, cash and money movements, and operational exception management.

• Experience developing, implementing, or maintaining operational procedures, SOPs, controls, or supervisory documentation.

• Familiarity with the Saudi financial markets ecosystem, local market practices, and relevant market infrastructure.

• Demonstrated ability to investigate operational issues, identify root causes, and drive issues through resolution.

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and operational risk awareness.

• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-changing environment where processes and infrastructure may still be under development.

• Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Finance, Treasury, and other stakeholders.

• A builder mindset, with demonstrated interest or experience creating scalable processes rather than solely operating within established ones.

• Ability to take ownership, work independently, and adapt as the business and regulatory environment evolves.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Direct experience with Saudi equities and brokerage operations.

• Experience working with Saudi brokerages, custodians, banks, exchanges, or other financial-market infrastructure providers.

• Familiarity with the operational requirements associated with the Saudi Exchange and local securities settlement infrastructure.

• Experience helping launch a new brokerage operation, market, product, legal entity, or operational function.

• Experience within a fintech, broker-dealer, clearing firm, custodian, exchange, or technology-driven financial institution.

• Experience designing operational controls, reconciliations, reporting, metrics, and escalation frameworks.

• Experience identifying and implementing automation or process improvements within brokerage operations.

• Arabic and English communication skills preferred.
