**Who We Are**

At Murmuration, we believe that America’s promise is shaped and reshaped by the best ideas and ideals of its communities, and the dreams of the people who believe in a better life for themselves, their families, and each other.

We help organizations build power in their communities in four key ways: we organize a network of values-aligned partners; we provide deep, data-driven insights into people, places, and perspectives; we develop tools that make organizing and engagement easy and more effective; and we offer services that strengthen our partners’ capacity to lead change in their communities.

We envision an America where every community has what it needs to help people lead healthy, free, and dignified lives. We work to redesign the systems and structures we all depend on — how we learn, live, govern, and solve problems — so that they are just, equitable, resilient, and rooted in shared responsibility. By strengthening the ties that hold communities together, we aim for civic life defined by collective action and care, with effective leadership that truly represents everyone.

We are a collaborative, curious, and creative team of organizers, scientists, teachers, technologists, campaign veterans, and more who share the unwavering belief that we can use our gifts in service of transforming America — together. We’ve built our team guided by the belief that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. And so we support each other relentlessly — rallying together to face challenges the same way we celebrate each other’s wins.

**About the Position**

Murmuration is seeking an Organizing Strategist to join our Campaigns Team. Reporting to the Senior Organizing Strategy Director, this role works directly with partner organizations to help them plan and run effective campaigns. It is a role for someone who has spent several years in organizing and/or civic engagement work and is ready to bring that experience to a network of values-aligned organizations across the country.

Day to day, the Organizing Strategist will work closely with the Campaigns Team and assigned partner organizations to support voter participation and advocacy campaigns. That means managing partner relationships, delivering trainings, helping partners get the most out of organizing systems and data tools, and making sure the research and field intelligence we generate actually shapes how campaigns run. The right candidate is a practitioner at heart who also knows how to step back, think strategically, and help partners strengthen their infrastructure over time.

Success in this role is defined by partner success. The Organizing Strategist is someone who finds genuine satisfaction in building others' capacity, shares credit freely, and understands that when our partners win, we win.

Job Level: P3

**What You’ll Do**

- Support partner organizations in planning and implementing voter participation and advocacy campaigns, including organizing, community, and elected engagement;
- Support the design and delivery of trainings, tools, and guidance for partner staff on campaign planning, organizing practice, and effective use of campaign tools;
- Help partners build and maintain strong organizing infrastructure, including systems for outreach, follow-up, event coordination, and volunteer and supporter engagement;
- Translate learnings from internal and external research and impact studies into practical recommendations that improve partner strategy, tactics, and execution;
- Coordinate with campaign vendors and internal cross-functional teams to ensure partners receive timely, integrated support;
- Support in-person and virtual convenings, trainings, and partner-facing events;
- Track campaign progress, surface risks and opportunities, and help ensure follow-through on key deliverables across multiple partner relationships; and
- Document partner needs, implementation lessons, and field feedback to strengthen Murmuration’s organizing practice and support model.

- 4 to 7 years of experience in organizing, advocacy, electoral, civic engagement, or campaign-related work;
- Demonstrated experience supporting campaigns and/or community-based programs from planning through execution;
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple workstreams and keep partners and internal stakeholders aligned;
- Experience working directly with external partners, clients, coalition members, or community-based organizations in a relationship management or support capacity;
- Experience facilitating trainings or support sessions for practitioners with varying skill levels;
- Familiarity with organizing tools, voter file platforms, canvassing apps, or related campaign technology; comfort learning new tools quickly;
- Familiarity with data-informed campaign strategy and using research to improve voter engagement and organizing tactics;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and make it useful for practitioners;
- Sound judgment, strong follow-through, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple competing priorities; and
- Commitment to civic engagement, equity, and community-centered work.

**Nice to Haves**

- Experience supporting nonprofit, advocacy, or political clients in a consulting, intermediary, or partner-support organization;
- Experience coordinating with vendors, consultants, or cross-functional internal teams;
- Experience with event planning or managing partner-facing convenings;
- Comfort working across issue advocacy and electoral programs within the same engagement; and/or
- Experience using Organizer by Murmuration or similar organizing and voter data platforms.

Talented Organizing Strategists come from all walks of life and career. If you are passionate about civic engagement and technology, please apply, even if you do not check every box!
