About Dispensed
AtDispensed,we are passionate about empowering individuals to reach their full potential by supporting better health outcomes. We believe that access to innovative and alternative therapies can transform lives. Through our telehealth platform, we facilitate patient access to affordable, efficient, and reliable alternative medicine services across Australia, NZ and the UK.
About the role
Across the business, our teams are doing manual work every day that a well-built system could take on instead. We want one person whose job is to find that work and give teams their time back by building real automation and putting it into production.
We're a telehealth business operating across Australia, the UK and New Zealand, covering patient onboarding, prescriber workflows, pharmacy fulfilment, clinical admin and patient support. We've already proven this kind of work can be automated - now we want to build it in-house.
This is a hands-on role - less overseeing, more building and delivering.
What you'll own
- Work alongside teams to identify the parts of their work that could be automated
- Build the automation, agent, tool or integration that fixes it, and get it into production
- Measure the impact - establish a baseline before you start, then track what changed
- Set the team up for success by handing over automations once they're stable, documented and the team knows how to run it
- Keep track of what's newly possible in AI and turn that into things we can stop doing manually
- Bring the AI enablement work we currently outsource in-house
Your first 90 days will focus on three areas: patient support, then clinic and prescriber operations, then pharmacy order operations. Ideally, you'll have something built and running within a month.
What you'll need
Essential:
- Proven experience building AI-powered agents, apps, automations or internal tools that saw real use
- The ability to code and deploy independently, without relying on other teams
- Solid skills in prompting, evaluation, retrieval, APIs, and data handling, plus enough security awareness to handle patient data properly
- A good instinct for finding where the real time savings are in an unfamiliar process
- The ability to earn trust with busy, non-technical operators
- Able to work without a ready-made backlog - you identify what needs doing
Nice to have:
- Experience in healthcare, telehealth or another regulated industry
- Background in forward-deployed or solutions engineering
- Founder or early-stage startup experience
Things to know before applying:
- We operate under Australian privacy law, UK GDPR and NZ requirements, plus medicinal cannabis regulation in three countries. Some automations need a different approach
- Success means what's still running six months later, not how many things were built
- This role works best when it fits naturally into how teams already operate
What We Offer
- Work From Anywhere
- A competitive salary & benefits package
- A supportive and positive work environment
How to apply
Send us your CV plus a couple of examples of what you've built - an agent, a tool, an automation. A repo, video or a short write-up. Applications without a build example won't be considered.
