The Opportunity
Security Leadership | Infrastructure & Architecture
Are you a security-first thinker with a passion for designing robust, scalable infrastructure? Our client – a forward-thinking organization – is seeking an experienced Senior IT Security Architect to lead their security strategy and architecture initiatives.
In this role, you'll design comprehensive security solutions, oversee complex IT infrastructure, and drive security excellence across the organization. You'll work with senior leadership, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and shape the company's security and IT architecture for the future. If you're a strategic thinker who combines deep technical expertise with strong communication skills, this is your chance to make a real impact.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing and implementing enterprise-wide IT security architecture and infrastructure solutions
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive security strategies, policies, and frameworks aligned with business objectives and industry standards
- Conducting risk assessments and security audits – identifying vulnerabilities and implementing solutions to mitigate threats
- Leading security projects from concept through implementation, managing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations
- Collaborating with IT teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into all systems and processes
- Managing security compliance and governance – staying current with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Providing strategic security guidance to senior leadership and other departments
- Staying ahead of emerging security threats and technologies – continuously improving the security posture
Who You Are
- You have 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5+ years specifically focused on security architecture and infrastructure
- You've designed and implemented enterprise security solutions across complex IT environments
- You have deep knowledge of IT security frameworks, standards (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.), and compliance requirements
- You're skilled in network security, system hardening, identity and access management, and cloud security
- You have hands-on experience with security tools, technologies, and best practices in modern environments
- You're a strategic thinker who can translate complex security concepts into clear business language
- You communicate effectively – both with technical teams and senior leadership
- You're comfortable with German and English (written and verbal)
- You stay current with security threats and emerging technologies – you're genuinely curious and always learning
- Lead security initiatives with real impact at an organization that takes security seriously
