Type: Three-year fixed term contract, with the potential to become permanent after this period. Full time (35 hours per week). Part-time hours may also be considered if above 0.7 FTE.
Location: This home-based role can be worked from flexible location options in the South West Asia and North Africa region.
Salary: Salaries and benefits will vary by country, depending on the successful candidate's location. We offer competitive, market-aligned renumeration, which can be adjusted in exceptional cases depending on a candidate's experience, skills, and potential. The salary for this role is likely to be in the region of US $125,000 to 150,000 p.a.

About the Role

This is an exciting new role at a pivotal moment for MAP. This role will help shape MAP's future engagement across Palestine and the Gulf region, identifying new opportunities for income growth, strategic partnerships and organisational influence. Working closely with colleagues across fundraising, programmes, communications and advocacy, you will help establish MAP as a trusted and credible partner within key markets and networks.

As MAP's senior fundraising and partnerships representative in the region, you will lead market scoping and relationship development activity, building connections with philanthropists, family offices, charitable foundations, corporate partners, institutional funders, academic institutions and other influential stakeholders. You will use your knowledge, networks and judgement to identify the most promising opportunities, build a pipeline of strategic relationships and make recommendations about MAP's future investment and approach in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy, Market Scoping and Insight

- Lead an initial scoping initiative to map the fundraising landscape in Palestine and the Gulf region, identifying highvalue opportunities, emerging trends, and region-specific fundraising approaches.

2. Relationship Development and Representation

- Represent MAP at a senior level with Palestine and Gulf stakeholders, positioning the organisation as a trusted, expert and credible partner.

3. Proposal Development and Reporting

- Collaborate with Philanthropy, Programmes and Communications teams to produce compelling, culturally attuned proposals, concept notes and presentations for Palestine and Gulf prospects.

About You

We are looking for a highly connected, strategic and entrepreneurial relationship-builder with a strong understanding of philanthropy, partnerships and influence across Palestine and the Gulf region. Passionate about MAP's mission and committed to supporting the health and dignity of Palestinians, you will bring credibility, insight and the ability to build meaningful relationships that create long-term value for the organisation.

You will have a strong knowledge of the philanthropic, corporate and institutional funding landscape across Palestine and the Gulf States, alongside experience of developing partnerships with major donors, foundations, corporates, family offices, institutional funders or other senior stakeholders. You are comfortable operating at a senior level, representing organisations externally and opening doors to new opportunities. Existing networks and relationships in the region will be a significant advantage.

An excellent communicator and relationship manager, you can engage and inspire a wide range of audiences in culturally appropriate ways. You are equally comfortable developing high-level strategies, analysing opportunities and risks, and translating organisational priorities into compelling partnership propositions. Knowledge of Palestinian and Gulf cultures, philanthropic traditions and Islamic giving, including Zakat, will help you succeed in this role.

You are a self-starter who thrives working independently across multiple priorities, while maintaining strong collaboration with colleagues based in different locations.
