Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, you'll help deliver scalable solutions that improve service delivery, strengthen governance, and support business outcomes. It's an opportunity to join a collaborative team focused on technical excellence, continuous improvement, and shaping the future of ServiceNow across the organisation.
Your Role
As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you will be a key contributor to our ServiceNow roadmap, helping drive the expansion and maturity of our platform across IT Service Management (ITSM) and Integrated Risk Management (IRM) capabilities. Working closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and service owners, you will design, develop, and optimise solutions that enhance service delivery, automate processes, strengthen governance, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, configure, and optimise the ServiceNow platform, including custom applications, workflows, integrations, scripting, and automations that align with business objectives and ServiceNow best practices
- Support and lead the ongoing expansion of ServiceNow capabilities across ITSM and IRM modules, helping shape the platform roadmap and future state architecture
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, prioritise enhancements, and deliver scalable solutions aligned with ITIL practices and organisational governance requirements
- Ensure platform reliability, security, and performance through code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, platform governance, and proactive monitoring
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and service optimisation to improve user experience and operational efficiency
- Support platform lifecycle activities including upgrades, release management, documentation, service continuity, and operational support for critical ServiceNow applications
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders, translating business requirements into effective solutions while communicating technical concepts in a clear and practical manner
- Contribute to establishing development standards, best practices, and governance frameworks that support the continued growth and adoption of the ServiceNow platform across the organisation
Your Experience
To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
- 4+ years of experience working with ServiceNow, including ITSM, IRM, or related platform capabilities
- 2+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, including scripting, workflow development, integrations, and platform customisation
- Experience delivering ServiceNow enhancements and projects within an enterprise or complex operational environment
- A strong understanding of ITIL principles and service management best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design practical, scalable, and sustainable solutions
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across both technical and business teams
- A proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented approach with a focus on quality outcomes and continuous improvement
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience
- A current ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is required
- Certifications such as Certified Application Developer (CAD), ITSM, IRM, or other ServiceNow specialisations will be highly regarded
