This role evaluates policy changes, reviews renewal exposures and account information, applies underwriting guidelines, and partners with underwriters, agents, and internal teams to help ensure policies are properly maintained, priced, documented, and issued.Key Responsibilities
- Review and process endorsement requests, including policy changes, coverage modifications, exposure updates, rating changes, and documentation corrections.
- Evaluate endorsement requests for completeness, accuracy, underwriting acceptability, and compliance with company guidelines and delegated authority.
- Review renewal accounts by analyzing updated applications, exposures, loss runs, prior policy activity, pricing changes, and underwriting documentation.
- Identify renewal accounts requiring additional underwriting review, referral, pricing action, coverage clarification, or updated information from agents or insureds.
- Apply underwriting guidelines, rating plans, coverage forms, and internal procedures to ensure endorsements and renewals are handled consistently and accurately.
- Communicate with agents, brokers, and internal business partners to request missing information, clarify account details, resolve servicing questions, and support timely policy issuance.
- Prepare and maintain accurate underwriting files, including documentation of account decisions, referrals, correspondence, and supporting rationale.
- Assist underwriters with account maintenance, renewal preparation, policy transaction review, and follow-up on outstanding items.
- Monitor work queues and prioritize time-sensitive endorsement and renewal transactions to meet service standards.
- Escalate complex risks, coverage concerns, pricing issues, or exceptions to underwriting authority to the appropriate underwriter or manager.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, recurring transaction issues, or opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and service quality.
- Drive operational efficiency through use of AI
Required Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, risk management, finance, or a related field preferred, but not required.
- Prior experience in insurance, underwriting support, policy processing, customer service, or a related administrative role preferred.
- Basic understanding of property and casualty insurance concepts, policy forms, endorsements, renewals, rating, and underwriting workflows or understanding of legal contracts and documents.
- Ability to review information for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and follow established guidelines and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and service expectations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and policy administration or underwriting systems.

Preferred Experience

- Familiarity with underwriting authority levels, referral guidelines, loss run review, and account documentation standards.
- Experience working with agents, brokers, or carrier underwriting teams.

Pay information:
The Hourly range for this position is $26.10 - $54.36. The posted salary range reflects the lowest and highest base salary applicable to this role across our U.S. locations. Individual offers are determined based on geographic location, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and other job-related factors. As a result, the salary offered for a specific location will fall within a narrower range than the overall range displayed in this posting. This position may also be eligible to participate in the Company's annual incentive plan.
