Position: Sonic Audit Specialist - Japanese
Type:Contract
Compensation:$38/hour
Location:Remote
Role Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI training data in Japanese for accuracy and consistency.
- Review multilingual transcription audits by listening to recordings and verifying transcriptions.
- Conduct forced alignment audits by checking and correcting audio segments and timestamps.
- Apply error codes and provide clear rationales for each judgment.
- Work independently with a focus on careful listening and precise error identification.
- Complete a calibration phase before starting production work.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Native or near-native command of Japanese as spoken in Japan.
- Strong English reading and writing skills.
- Experience in transcription, subtitling, localization, or linguistic annotation.
- Ability to apply a disciplined rubric consistently.
Preferred
- Prior AI data annotation or model evaluation experience.
- Background in phonetics or linguistics.
- Experience with audio editing or waveform tools.
