Due to our expansion in Bulgaria, we are looking for an experienced Golang Engineer. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our backend architecture. Working within a cross-functional squad, you’ll design and deliver robust, scalable microservices that power seamless experiences for millions of users.
**What you’ll be responsible for:**
- Build and maintain high‑performance microservices in Go.
- Contribute to the full lifecycle of services including development, testing, and deployment.
- Implement and document gRPC and RESTful APIs to support product features.
- Write efficient queries and design schemas for DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and MySQL.
- Work within event‑driven architecture patterns and help maintain distributed systems.
- Write clean, testable code with consistent unit and integration test coverage.
- Partner with DevOps to monitor service health and assist with production deployments.
- Help troubleshoot production issues to maintain high availability and performance.
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and daily standups.
- Contribute to technical discussions regarding API design and database improvements
**Skills and experience required:**
- 4+ years developing production‑ready services in Go, with strong backend development in microservices architecture.
- Hands‑on database experience with DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and MySQL, including schema design and query optimisation.
- Familiarity with gRPC and RESTful APIs for scalable service integration.
- Knowledge of distributed architecture patterns, Go Routines, and Channel usage.
- Exposure to AWS and cloud‑native services for backend scalability.
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development practices.
- Proven experience designing and implementing features using AI-powered workflows, including leveraging AI agents and automation to build scalable, intelligent applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with exposure to AI‑led development.
**Work Mode & Salary**
- Remote working. This role is only open to candidates who are residing in Bulgaria.
- Gross annual salary: €60,000 to €65,000 based on experience.
**Interview Process**
- Online interview with the Senior Talent Advisor.
- A 75 min panel interview with two Engineering Leads. This will be a behavioural- and technical interview.
- Final interview with the Director of Engineering, and the CPTO.
