We are looking for a Junior Software Developer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development and improvement of our B2B SaaS products. This is an opportunity to build practical software skills while working alongside experienced developers on real product features, integrations, bug fixes, and technical improvements.
The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. You will receive guidance from more experienced team members while gradually taking ownership of development tasks and contributing to the full software development lifecycle.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Develop and maintain software features under the guidance of senior developers.
- Write clean, readable, and maintainable code.
- Fix bugs and investigate issues reported by QA, support, or engineering teams.
- Work with APIs and integrate application components and services.
- Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve your work.
- Write and maintain basic unit and integration tests.
- Assist with debugging and troubleshooting application issues.
- Collaborate with product, QA, design, and other engineering team members.
- Update technical documentation and development notes.
- Learn and apply software development best practices, coding standards, and security principles.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 0–2 years of professional software development experience, including internships or relevant projects.
- Knowledge of at least one programming language such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#.
- Basic understanding of software development principles and object-oriented programming.
- Familiarity with Git and version-control workflows.
- Understanding of REST APIs and basic web development concepts.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and learn from technical feedback.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience building personal, academic, or open-source software projects.
- Familiarity with React, Node.js, or another modern development framework.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with automated testing or CI/CD workflows.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar development tools.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$60,000–$78,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
CerebriOS offers a remote-first work environment, hands-on learning opportunities, and the chance to work alongside experienced engineers on practical SaaS products. Team members are encouraged to develop their technical skills, take on increasing responsibility, and contribute ideas throughout the product development process.
