Position Summary Blackbird Health is looking for a part-time Intake Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our interdisciplinary team. You will deliver comprehensive psychiatric intake evaluations and treatment planning for children, adolescents, and young adults — connecting patients to the right ongoing care from the very start of their journey. We are looking for clinicians licensed in PA, VA, NJ, or MD.

  • Whole-Child Integration: Collaborate with therapists to develop individualized treatment plans that address the root cause of behavior and ensure patients are matched to the right ongoing provider.
  • Family Empowerment: Educate parents and caregivers during the intake process, helping them understand their child's diagnosis and navigate next steps in their mental health journey.
  • Clinical Excellence: Oversee diagnostic testing and maintain thorough, HIPAA-compliant intake documentation.

The Basics You'll Need

  • Education: Master's Degree from an accredited nursing program
  • Certification: PMHNP-BC certification
  • Experience: At least one year of independent psychiatric experience working under licensure
  • Licensure: Active license in PA, VA, NJ, or MD
  • Compliance: DEA license and State Prescriptive Authority
  • Availability: Flexibility to work during core after-school hours (after 4pm ET) and/or weekends
