About the Role
Ontra is seeking a Senior Account Director, Growth Sales, reporting to our Managing Director, Growth Sales, to join our rapidly growing company.
The Senior Account Director will play a critical role in helping Ontra deepen relationships with our existing enterprise customers by increasing share of wallet through strategic cross-selling, bundled solutions, and expanded adoption of our AI-enabled products and services. Working within a sophisticated enterprise sales motion and leveraging the MEDDICC framework, you'll partner closely with Customer Success and Business Development to identify expansion opportunities, navigate complex buying groups, and close high-value opportunities with senior legal, compliance, operations, and executive stakeholders.
Whether you're an accomplished enterprise seller or a former corporate attorney looking to transition into a revenue-generating business role, you'll thrive in this position if you enjoy solving complex customer problems, building long-term strategic relationships, and helping shape how AI transforms legal and private markets workflows.
What you'll do
- Own Strategic Account Growth: Drive expansion within Ontra's largest existing customers through cross-sell, upsell, and increased adoption of our AI-enabled products and services.
- Lead Complex Sales Cycles: Manage opportunities from discovery through close, navigating multi-stakeholder buying groups and executive decision-makers using the MEDDICC framework.
- Position Platform Solutions: Uncover customer needs and align the right combination of products and services to deliver measurable business value.
- Partner Across Teams: Work closely with Customer Success and Business Development to identify expansion opportunities, coordinate account strategy, and accelerate growth.
- Shape Our Growth Strategy: Share customer insights and market feedback to help refine our go-to-market approach and support the rollout of new offerings.
What you'll bring
- Experience: 10+ years of enterprise B2B sales success, or 5+ years as a corporate attorney (ideally in funds, private equity, M&A, or leveraged finance/credit) looking to transition out of practicing law into a client-facing business role.
- Enterprise Selling Expertise: Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and building relationships with legal, compliance, finance, or executive buyers. Experience selling AI-enabled services, legal technology, or professional services is a plus.
- Private Markets Knowledge: Familiarity with the private equity ecosystem and the legal or operational workflows that support investment managers.
- Consultative Approach: Skilled at uncovering customer challenges, identifying expansion opportunities, and positioning multi-product solutions that drive long-term value.
- Cross-Functional Mindset: Collaborative, coachable, and comfortable partnering across Sales, Customer Success, and Business Development to win as a team.
- Operational Excellence: Strong pipeline management, forecasting, organization, and communication skills.
