About the Role:
Lyra Health is looking for a Variable Compensation Manager to support our GTM compensation programs.
As an individual contributor, you will play a key role in administering Lyra’s variable compensation program. You will work closely with cross-functional partners in Finance, Accounting, GTM Operations, Analytics, HR, and other teams to ensure scalable and accurate GTM compensation systems and processes.
This role will administer incentive plans, inquiry management, system development and effectiveness reporting.

Responsibilities
- Commission Operations and Payouts: Calculate monthly, quarterly, and annual incentive payouts for the sales and CS teams with 100% accuracy. Audit underlying booking data, resolve disputes, and ensure payouts align strictly with signed compensation plans and payroll deadlines.
- CaptivateIQ System Ownership: Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for CaptivateIQ. Manage data integrations (Salesforce, Workday), build and test complex payout logic, maintain compensation models, and optimize the platform for scale.
- Data Integrity: Own the accuracy of core sales data feeding variable incentive models by auditing customer records, pricing details, and opportunity data in close partnership with Sales, Sales Operations, and Pricing.
- Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain commission reporting dashboards for leadership and finance. Provide actionable insights on incentive effectiveness, attainment trends, and commission costs.
- Plan Design & Advisory: Partner with leadership, Ops, and HR during annual compensation planning. Model proposed plan structures, evaluate theoretical commission scenarios, and translate compensation plans into operational logic within CaptivateIQ.
- Audits: Oversee the recurring audit of commission statements before the release of payments, ensuring data integrity and accuracy of plan calculation. Ensure compensation processes are designed to meet audit requirements and that any calculations are fully traceable.
- Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement across compensation workflows by identifying process gaps and executing targeted improvements.
- Field Support: Act as the trusted advisor to the sales organization regarding commission policies. Manage communications with payees related to statements, ensuring clarity and timely responses to any inquiries or discrepancies.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in variable compensation and sales/revenue operations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, HR, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing sales variable compensation programs, preferably within a high-growth go-to-market team.
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex sales data, determine trends, and draw valid conclusions.
- Knowledge of relevant compliance and legal requirements about sales compensation.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) platforms, with CaptivateIQ experience strongly preferred.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Ability to problem-solve and make informed decisions, especially in high-pressure situations.
- An understanding of the broader go-to-market strategy and how compensation drives sales behavior.
