Geotab is seeking a Compliance Lead who will be responsible for operationalizing our compliance programs and championing a culture of integrity at Geotab. ## What you'll do:

As a Compliance Lead your key area of responsibility will be driving adherence to our policies, procedures, and evolving global regulatory requirements by designing and executing right-sized compliance initiatives. You will need to work closely with Legal, Finance, Technology, HR, IT, Operations, and Senior Management.

In addition, the successful candidate will have strong risk and control orientation, strategic thinking, analytical capability, and a focus on continuous improvement.

## How you'll make an impact:

- Drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive, risk-based ethics and compliance strategy—proactively identifying gaps, recommending solutions, and aligning programs to global business goals without waiting to be directed.
- Lead and manage thorough, impartial investigations into allegations of non-compliance, unethical conduct, or violations of our Code of Conduct and other policies—leveraging AI tools to enhance efficiency, pattern detection, and investigative rigor, and delivering clear findings to leadership.
- Take full ownership of drafting, reviewing, and continuously improving key ethics and compliance policies and procedures—including our Code of Conduct, Anti-Corruption & Anti-Bribery, Third-Party Risk Management, Sanctions, Conflicts of Interest, and Whistleblower policies—anticipating regulatory changes and proactively recommending updates before issues arise.
- Design and own compliance risk assessment programs—identifying vulnerabilities before they become issues, leveraging AI-powered analytics to surface patterns and gaps, and bringing forward data-driven, actionable solutions rather than escalating problems.
- Serve as a proactive thought partner and subject matter expert for the compliance team and business partners on ABAC, third-party risk, business continuity, records retention, and sanctions—consistently bringing well-reasoned recommendations and solutions to the table rather than surfacing problems without a path forward.
- Drive cross-functional compliance integration by independently initiating partnerships with Legal, Finance, Technology, HR, IT, Operations, and Senior Management—embedding compliance into business processes and building AI-powered tools and self-service resources that reduce friction and manual effort across the organization.
- Stay abreast of evolving laws, regulations, industry standards, and best practices relevant to ethics and compliance in the technology sector. Drive automation and AI utilization across compliance workflows, building scalable tools, automated systems, and self-service knowledge repositories that enable other departments to handle routine compliance matters independently—reducing reliance on manual administrative support and empowering the organization to self-serve.

## What you'll bring to the role:

- 5 - 8 years of required experience in developing and managing ethics and compliance programs, conducting internal investigations, and leading complex cross-functional compliance initiatives.
- Technology Adoption & Automation: Rapidly learns, adopts, and deploys new technologies, SaaS platforms, and AI tools. Comfortable building workflow automations to eliminate repetitive administrative tasks and drive self-service adoption to scale compliance operations.
- Agility & Multi-Tasking: Ability to juggle competing priorities, context-switch smoothly in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.

- Risk & Control Orientation: Strong ability to identify, evaluate and mitigate compliance risks across processes. Demonstrates proactive approach to maintaining effective control environments.

- Integrity & Ethical Conduct: Upholds the highest ethical standards and promotes a culture of honesty and transparency. Acts as a trusted advisor and role model for ethical decision-making.

- Strategic Thinking & Decision-Making: Balances regulatory requirements with business objectives. Anticipates compliance challenges and recommends forward-looking strategies.

- Communication & Influence: Effectively communicates compliance expectations to all levels of the organization. Influences stakeholders and drives behavioral change without direct authority.

- Leadership & Collaboration: Leads cross-functional initiatives, guiding teams to embed compliance into business operations. Builds strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

- Analytical & Problem-Solving Capability: Uses data and evidence-based approaches to identify issues and develop solutions. Demonstrates sound judgment in handling sensitive or complex compliance matters.

- Continuous Improvement & Learning: Stays updated on evolving regulatory landscapes and industry best practices. Continuously seeks to enhance compliance processes, tools and training programs.

- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with a focus on ethics and compliance programs (Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree required). Professional Certification in CCEP is preferred.

The annual base salary for this position is the expected annual salary for this role, and may be subject to change. Geotab offers various perks and benefits and other compensation components that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary for this position depends on a variety of factors such as but not limited to skills, qualifications, education and overall experience, including the location the applicant lives while performing the job. This also includes equity with other team members and alignment with local market data. All offers of employment are contingent upon proof of eligibility to work and the individual's ability to pass a background check.
