The Senior Software Engineer – In Test is responsible for developing and establishing quality assurance standards and measures for the information technology services within the organization. This will include writing test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in product development. This individual will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate, verify, communicate, and resolve system/software application issues through careful testing in order to ensure high quality in our SaaS applications. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring quality is at the heart of engineering practices, with a bias towards test and tooling automation. Automated testing experience is a requirement for this role. Candidates lacking automated testing experience will not be considered.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Develop and execute test scripts and plans for software changes in the company’s software products
- Perform integrated software testing, which includes but is not limited to, ensuring the accuracy of new product features or corrections to current software functions per the business requirements prior to release of software and post release testing
- Track and report work completed on a daily basis
- Work closely with software developers to clearly convey issues found and to ensure timely resolution
- Document, track, retest and communicate test results
- Ensure QA tasks assigned are completed as scheduled
- Review product Release Notes and other documentation for accuracy
- Mentor Jr. QA team members
- Enhance existing and recommend new QA methodologies to improve company efficiency and quality
- Writes and maintains test automation scripts

**Required Skills & Experience:**

- 5-7+ years of commercial development with extensive automation testing experience
- Testing tools like Selenium, Playwright, Jest, JMeter, Postman and TestRail
- Experience in different types of tests such as regression, smoke, systems, integration, performance, load, endurance and user acceptance testing
- Proficiency in authoring, reviewing, and executing manual, ad hoc and exploratory test cases
- SQL, NoSQL and relational database concepts
- Exposure to Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment practices.
- Experience with unit testing and mock test frameworks (XUnit, NUnit / Moq / NSubstitute)
- Modern source control systems (Github, BitBucket, Azure DevOps, TFS)
- Experience in AI assisted coding using tools such as Claude, Devin, CoPilot

**Desired Skills & Experience:**

- Agile, Scrum, XP, TDD, AI SDLC
- Familiarity with ASP.NET, MVC, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, LESS, Typescript, bootstrap, SSRS, Rest API, Python, C# and .NET Core and .NET Framework
- BDD Frameworks such as Gherkin
- Appium, Insomnia or comparable test tools and frameworks
- Functional Languages such as PowerShell
- Computer Science, OO concepts and design patterns
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Cloud Platforms (Azure)
- Familiarity with AI concepts, tools and passion towards latest developments in this field
