最低要求

**This position is contingent upon contract award**
SOSi is seeking a Data Governance & Metadata Scientist to support mission requirements for a structured approach to further develop, integrate, and sustain a scalable, federated data ecosystem that enhances interoperability, governance, and mission-driven analytics for a DoD customer. The primary objective of the program is to bridge the operational gaps between DoD, IC, interagency, and non-traditional international partners to enable real-time information sharing, dynamic data integration, and mission-tailored analytical capabilities.
Essential Job Duties:
- The contractor shall establish and maintain metadata governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with DoD data management policies and interoperability with Data Catalog.
- The contractor shall develop automated metadata tagging processes to improve data discoverability, classification, and lineage tracking within the Common Intelligence Picture (CIP) platform.
- The contractor shall implement and manage data governance workflows, ensuring integration with OpenLineage, Unity Catalog, and GIS metadata standards.
- The contractor shall submit the Metadata & Data Governance Compliance Report, detailing lineage tracking, classification policies, and security enhancements.
Minimum Requirements
- Knowledge and capability to develop, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks, ensuring metadata consistency, lineage tracking, and interoperability between Data Lake, ESRI Kubernetes environments, and external data sources.
- Personnel must be proficient in metadata management, data lineage tracking (Unity Catalog/OpenLineage), schema alignment, and governance best practices.
- Expertise in geospatial data standards, data cataloging, and compliance with DoD metadata policies is required.
- The contractor shall provide personnel with a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Management, GIS, or a related field, or;· five (5) years of equivalent experience in data governance, metadata management, or geospatial data integration.
- Demonstrated experience in: Implementing metadata governance frameworks for structured and unstructured data in cloud-based environments.
- Tracking data lineage and ensuring metadata synchronization across a Data Catalog, ESRI Kubernetes, and enterprise metadata repositories.
- Utilizing OpenLineage, Apache Atlas, or similar tools for metadata and data lineage management.
- Enforcing compliance with DoD metadata policies and NSG tradecraft standards for geospatial datasets
Preferred Qualifications
· Desirable but not required certifications include Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), DAMA Certified Data Governance Professional (DGSP), or ESRI Geospatial Data Management Certification.
