About the Role
The Infrastructure Program Manager within Insight’s Client Solutions team is responsible for overseeing complex, enterprise-scale IT infrastructure consulting and delivery programs across a portfolio of key clients.
This role requires strong experience managing infrastructure projects within a consulting, professional services, or technology services environment. Relevant infrastructure programs may include networking, cloud infrastructure, data center, compute, storage, cybersecurity, infrastructure modernization, migrations, and related enterprise technology initiatives.
The Program Manager partners closely with Account Principals, Enterprise Architects, Project Managers, engineering teams, Sales, and Delivery teams to ensure successful client outcomes. While Project Managers oversee individual engagement execution, the Program Manager owns the broader program, including governance, financial performance, risk, cross-project alignment, resource coordination, executive communication, and long-term value realization.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Program & Delivery Leadership

  • Lead complex, enterprise-level IT infrastructure consulting programs involving multiple projects, workstreams, and technical teams.
  • Manage infrastructure initiatives across areas such as networking, cloud, data center, compute, storage, cybersecurity, migrations, and modernization.
  • Partner closely with infrastructure architects, engineers, Project Managers, and technical delivery teams throughout planning and execution.
  • Maintain an integrated view of delivery health across multiple infrastructure engagements.
  • Coordinate project dependencies, resources, milestones, risks, and priorities across matrixed and multi-vendor teams.
  • Ensure infrastructure solutions are successfully transitioned into operational environments.

Client & Executive Governance

  • Serve as a key client-facing program leader for strategic infrastructure engagements.
  • Define and lead program governance, including Executive Steering Committees and Business Reviews.
  • Align infrastructure delivery with client business, technology, financial, and executive priorities.
  • Communicate program health, risks, dependencies, financial performance, and corrective actions to client and internal leadership.
  • Lead challenging client conversations involving delivery risk, scope, timelines, and engagement health.

Financial & Commercial Management

  • Own the portfolio view ofrevenue, costs, utilization, margin, forecasting, and financial performance.
  • Monitor project economics and identify potential margin or delivery risks.
  • Ensure work aligns with executed Statements of Work and approved commercial agreements.
  • Manage formal change control for material scope changes.
  • Support SOW development, contract clarity, forecasting, and commercial risk management.

Risk & Portfolio Management

  • Maintain visibility into risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies across infrastructure projects.
  • Identify cross-project risks and lead escalation and resolution efforts.
  • Manage competing priorities and resource requirements across multiple engagements.
  • Ensure appropriate governance and delivery standards are followed throughout the program lifecycle.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Coordinate across Enterprise Architects, infrastructure engineers, Project Managers, Sales, PMO, Finance, Delivery, and client stakeholders.
  • Lead matrixed teams where resources may not report directly to the Program Manager.
  • Coordinate multi-vendor environments and ensure all contributors remain aligned to client outcomes.
  • Maintain consistent communication and delivery across multiple projects and technical workstreams.

What We're Looking For
Required

  • 8+ years of project, program, or delivery management experience within technology services, infrastructure consulting, professional services, or a related environment.
  • 5+ years leading enterprise-scale IT infrastructure programs or complex infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing consulting infrastructure engagements for external clients, rather than solely internal business projects.
  • Experience managing infrastructure initiatives such as networking, cloud, data center, compute, storage, cybersecurity, infrastructure migrations, or modernization.
  • Strong experience working directly with infrastructure architects, engineers, technical delivery teams, and Project Managers.
  • Experience leading multiple projects or technical workstreams simultaneously.
  • Proven accountability for program financials, including revenue, costs, utilization, margins, forecasting, and overall engagement economics.
  • Strong client-facing experience, including executive-level governance and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience managing risk, dependencies, scope, escalations, and delivery health across complex programs.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional and matrixed teams.
  • PMP or equivalent program management certification required.

Preferred

  • Experience managing multi-vendor infrastructure consulting engagements.
  • Experience with SOW development, contract review, formal change control, and commercial risk assessment.
  • Agile certification such as PMI-ACP, CSM, PSM, or equivalent.
  • Experience with organizational change, adoption planning, and operational transition.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled project or delivery workflows.
