We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. This will be a key role in our accounting function.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
- Prepare journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
- Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
- Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards
Qualifications & Skills:
- Preferred undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, with 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Advanced Excel skills (ability to create pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions)
- Experience with ERP system like Sage Intacct preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work independently on deliverables to achieve accurate results.
- Ability to prioritize conflicting demands and maintain excellent communication regarding deliverables.
- Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with members of the senior management team and others within the Company
