At CI&T, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Java Developer to join our team in Brasil. You will contribute to an innovative project in a collaborative, innovative, transformative, and multicultural environment.

Position Overview:

As a Senior Java Developer, you will lead the design and development of a scalable cloud-based solution, employing Java, Spring Boot, and AWS. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure high-quality deliverables aligned with client expectations. Your role will be pivotal in driving collaboration, innovation, and transformation, as we harness the power of AI to revolutionize our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and deploy software applications using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and technical solutions.

• Maintain and improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of learning.

• Implement best practices in Agile and Test-Driven Development (TDD).

• Ensure the integration of RESTful APIs within microservice architectures.

• Engage actively in code reviews and contribute to continuous integration and delivery processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Must-have Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as a developer working on large, distributed systems.

• 8+ years of development experience in any language, with the last 4 years focused on Java for server-side applications.

• Expert in Core Java 1.8 and above.

• Proficient with Spring, Spring Boot, and development of RESTful/JSON web services in a micro-service architecture.

• Demonstrable proficiency with JUnit, Mockito, and Assert-J.

• Strong experience with messaging frameworks such as JMS and ActiveMQ.

• Proficient in Git and familiar with continuous integration systems like Jenkins and GitHub.

• Comfortable working with relational and NoSQL databases, and proficient in database access using Spring JDBC template, JPA, and Hibernate.

• High-level understanding of in-memory distributed data storage systems like memcache and Hazelcast.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• A strong desire to solve complex problems and learn new technologies.

• Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field.

Nice-to-have Skills:

• Experience with cloud deployments, preferably Azure.

• Familiarity with build tools like Maven and using IntelliJ IDE.

• Understanding of profiling tools and ability to evaluate third-party libraries.

• Experience with international software development considerations (multi-lingual, multi-currency).
