As a Senior Backend Engineer with a focus on Node.js, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining high-performance, scalable backend services that drive our cutting-edge applications. You will work in a collaborative environment to build efficient and reliable systems that adapt to the evolving needs of our users.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Node.js-based backend services and APIs

• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other teams to implement and enhance new features

• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security

• Implement and manage database solutions, including both SQL and NoSQL

• Ensure high availability and reliability of our services

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code

• Conduct and participate in code reviews to uphold code quality

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team's technical growth

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex software issues

• Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in Node.js and backend development

Requirements

Required Qualifications:· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

• 5+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Node.js

• Expert-level knowledge of JavaScript and Node.js

• Proficiency with Node.js frameworks (e.g., Express.js, Nest.js, Koa)

• Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs

• Solid understanding of database technologies (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis)

• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS or GCP)

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Understanding of serverless architectures and FaaS (Function as a Service)

• Experience with version control systems (Git)

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team

Preferred Qualifications:· Experience with TypeScript

• Knowledge of GraphQL and Apollo Server

• Familiarity with message queuing systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka)

• Experience with real-time communication protocols (e.g., WebSockets, Socket.io)

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

• Experience with performance monitoring and optimization tools for Node.js applications

• Contributions to open-source projects

• Knowledge of frontend JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js)
