Air Account Executive

Join Axon and be a Force for Good.
At Axon, we’re on a mission to Protect Life. We’re explorers, pursuing society’s most critical safety and justice issues with our ecosystem of devices and cloud software. Like our products, we work better together. We connect with candor and care, seeking out diverse perspectives from our customers, communities and each other.
Life at Axon is fast-paced, challenging and meaningful. Here, you’ll take ownership and drive real change. Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter.
Your Impact
Axon's Air team sells drone and counter-drone systems to police and sheriff's departments. As an Account Executive, you will own the full sales cycle in a territory covering South Texas, Missouri, and Illinois: finding the deal, running it, and closing it yourself. You'll work alongside an Axon Key Account Leader and manage the Skydio partnership piece of your deals, so customers get one integrated solution instead of stitching together vendors. This is a build the market role. You'll be one of the first reps selling this product line in your territory, not inheriting a warm book.
What You'll Do
Location: IN
Territory: Indiana, Ohio, Missouri (one combined multi-state territory)
Travel: 75%, including overnight travel within territory
Reports to: Sales Director
- Sell Axon's drone and counter-drone hardware and software directly to police and sheriff's departments in your territory
- Build your own pipeline. Work RFPs, Google alerts, and referrals to find agencies that need this technology
- Run the full sales cycle yourself: first call, demo, the RFP/procurement process, contract, close. This often takes several months given how government buying works
- Manage the Skydio partnership piece of your deals, so customers get one integrated solution instead of stitching together vendors
- Work alongside an Axon Key Account Leader who's already selling other Axon gear into these same departments. You sell Air, they sell the rest, on the same accounts
- Log deals and forecast in Salesforce so leadership can see what's closing and when
- Be one of the first reps selling this product line in your territory. You're building the market here, not inheriting a warm book
What You Bring
- 5+ years of full-cycle, quota-carrying tech or SaaS sales experience. You've sourced your own deals and closed them, not just worked inbound
- Proven success breaking into net-new accounts and winning first-time customers • A track record of hitting or beating quota
- Bachelor's Degree
- Salesforce or equivalent CRM experience
- Willingness to travel 75% of the time within your territory, including overnights. This is a field role, you'll be in police departments, not on Zoom
- Experience selling to government or public-sector buyers is a plus: RFPs, procurement cycles, long sales timelines
- Familiarity with drone, cloud, or virtualization technology is a plus
Benefits that Benefit You
- Competitive salary and 401k with employer match
- Discretionary paid time off
- Paid parental leave for all
- Medical, Dental, Vision plans
- Fitness Programs
- Emotional & Mental Wellness support
- Learning & Development programs
- And yes, we have snacks in our offices
Benefits listed herein may vary depending on the nature of your employment and the location where you work.
