Who we want…
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology
- Professional Engineering (PE) License required.
- 15+ years of progressive engineering experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM, and other relevant design and modeling software.
- Advanced proficiency with electrical design tools (e.g., SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or similar).
- Proven track record of mentoring, coaching, and developing high-performing engineering teams.
- Demonstrated success in leading complex, multidisciplinary projects and managing client relationships.
- Strong business acumen with experience in budgeting, proposal development, client engagement, and strategic planning.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to foster collaboration across departments.
- Strategic thinker with a growth mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Self-directed leader capable of driving initiatives from concept through execution.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Qualifications
What we expect… (Essential Functions)
- Provide strategic leadership for the electrical engineering discipline, aligning team capabilities with business goals and market demands.
- Oversee the technical execution, quality assurance, and delivery of electrical engineering services across all project phases.
- Lead and mentor engineering managers, senior engineers, and design staff, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver integrated design solutions, coordinating with architectural, structural, mechanical, and automation teams.
- Drive process optimization, including QA/QC standards, technology adoption, and documentation workflows.Support business development efforts, including proposal strategy, client presentations, and relationship management.
- Lead resource planning, hiring strategy, and succession planning for the electrical engineering team.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards across all engineering activities.
- Other strategic duties as assigned.

Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position may supervise the roles of Manager, Electrical Engineering, Principal Engineer, or Senior Engineers.
