As Systems Administrator, you will report directly to The CTO and own the health, security, and reliability of our internal IT and infrastructure systems. The role sits at the intersection of IT operations, identity and access management, and internal tooling: you will be the first point of contact for employee hardware, SaaS provisioning, network and endpoint security, and internal systems uptime. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience running a modern cloud workplace stack end to end, keeping access controls audit-ready, and operating independently in a small, distributed team.Key ResponsibilitiesManage employee onboarding and offboarding: hardware provisioning, account creation and deprovisioning, and access revocation.Own endpoint management and security posture across company laptops.Manage network infrastructure for office and remote access, including VPN, Wi-Fi, and firewall rules.Maintain an accurate asset inventory and manage vendor relationships for hardware and software procurement.Implement and enforce access control policies in line with SOC 2 and other compliance requirements.Monitor system uptime and respond to internal IT tickets and incidents.Support internal audits and security reviews with documentation and evidence.Evaluate and roll out new internal tools as the company scales.Qualifications3+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator, IT Administrator, or in a similar role.Experience administering Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, plus an SSO/identity provider.Working knowledge of networking fundamentals: VPN, DNS, firewalls, and Wi-Fi.Familiarity with compliance frameworks relevant to a fintech or crypto company, SOC 2 in particular.Nice to HavePrior experience in the digital asset space, and a startup or scaling company (Series A–C)Experience supporting a distributed, remote-first workforce.Prior exposure to crypto, fintech, or another regulated industry.Flexibility in working hours to support our remote global team Skills & AttributesSelf-directed operator: You are comfortable working independently in a small, fast-moving team, setting priorities and closing loops without being chased.Strong documenter: You write clear runbooks, access records, and audit evidence that a colleague or an auditor can follow without you in the room.Security-minded: You default to least privilege, notice gaps in access and endpoint hygiene before they become findings, and fix them.Service-oriented: You are the first point of contact for the whole company and treat every ticket, laptop setup, and onboarding as someone's first impression of M0.Pragmatic problem solver: You pick tools and controls that fit a ~40-person distributed team, not a 400-person one, and scale them as we grow.CompensationCompetitive compensation (base salary with equity/token grant) commensurate with experience.BenefitsGlobal team and flexibility: Join a truly global team with the flexibility to work remotely or from one of our hubs in NYC or Berlin.Health and wellness: Enjoy comprehensive healthcare insurance coverage as well as a wellbeing allowance and gym membership to support your physical and mental health.Customizable IT setup: Tailor your workspace with access to top-notch IT equipment.Professional development: Benefit from an annual development budget to enhance your skills and grow professionally, including opportunities to participate in conferences and on-site company events worldwide.Apply here 👉 Systems Administrator
