The Senior SaaS Operations Engineer is responsible for the designing and building of the cloud platform that will provide visibility for use to all operations personnel.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Work with the Chief Software Architect on the strategy and design of the new Sun Nuclear Cloud platform
- Implement log collection, metrics aggregation, and related operational management tools.
- Establish dashboards for full visibility into the health and efficiency of the platform.
- Evangelize the right levels of logging to the development team and the importance of metrics.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- At least 5 years of related enterprise experience and at least 2 years of experience integrating a metrics platform.
- Familiar with designing and developing with the principles of reuse, componentization, and the proper level of abstraction
- Experience operating AWS, Azure, GCP or a combination
- Possess an understanding and familiarity of the many aspects of cloud-based platforms (preferably AWS) from development to deployment to operations
- Able to manage accurate and rapid project scoping and estimating
- Able to consume large amounts of information and quickly distilling it into usable knowledge
