At Vortech PCI Group, we are looking for a Senior .NET Backend Engineer to join an international project in the financial sector, focused on developing a new Electronic Trading platform within the Fixed Income domain.
This is a greenfield project, involving the design and development of scalable, high-performance backend solutions using .NET and AWS.
We are looking for a hands-on senior engineer with strong experience in C#, microservices, distributed systems, asynchronous programming and event-driven architectures.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop and maintain backend services using C#, .NET Core and ASP.NET Core.
  • Build scalable REST APIs and microservices-based architectures.
  • Develop distributed systems and event-driven integrations using messaging technologies.
  • Implement multithreading, concurrency and asynchronous programming solutions.
  • Optimise application performance, scalability and reliability.
  • Work with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Apply Clean Architecture, SOLID principles and software engineering best practices.
  • Implement automated testing and contribute to CI/CD processes.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with international technical teams.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, with strong expertise in C# and .NET.
  • Solid experience with .NET Core, ASP.NET Core and REST APIs.
  • Proven experience with microservices and distributed systems.
  • Strong knowledge of multithreading, asynchronous programming and concurrency.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, TIBCO, SignalR or equivalent.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of SOLID principles, Clean Architecture and design patterns.
  • Experience with Docker, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting applications in production.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Advanced English.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience in Financial Services, Fixed Income or Electronic Trading.
  • Knowledge of trading platforms, pricing systems or RFQ workflows.
  • Experience with AWS.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and observability tools.
  • Experience with JavaScript and SPA frameworks.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Location: Spain, Portugal, Poland or United Kingdom.
  • Project: International greenfield Electronic Trading platform.
  • Working language: English.
