Now, by pairing the industry's most trusted blockchain data with agents that reason, investigate, and act, we help our customers scale their workflows as the cryptocurrency economy becomes increasingly mainstream.As a Staff Software Engineer within Investigations, you'll be a driving force in a team of engineers, taking ownership of technical direction and sharing responsibility for providing the right tools and the right data to build best in class customer experiences. You'll lead the design, build and maintenance of new customer facing web-features as well as the APIs and services backing them. A key part of this role is partnering closely with product managers and designers, leveraging your deep understanding of the underlying data platform to deliver impactful, scalable solutions to our customers.In this role, you'll:Lead the architecture, maintenance and development of serving cloud-native data ingest and aggregation processes that intake gigabytes of data per dayDrive the delivery of features across our product suite that detect activities for market manipulation, fraud, behavioral patterning, and moreOwn and scale a high-performance services on AWS that handle thousands of requests per secondLead the team's modernization efforts towards a streaming architecture, setting technical direction and best practicesOwn and drive the direction and enablement of our graphing platform, which is used across multiple products to drive and visualize understanding of our insights and data, both on and off the blockchainsDebug and resolve production issues across multiple systems and services, guiding the team through complex technical challengesMentor and grow engineers across the team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaborationWe're looking for candidates who have:Proven experience leading the design and implementation of cloud-native services-based systems in a major cloud provider like AWS or GCPA strong track record of mentoring engineers, leading cross-team projects, and driving design and technology decisions at a senior or lead levelThe ability to align technical execution with product and design partners, with a strong bias to ship and iterateDeep experience with object-oriented programming languages; we mostly use Java and typescript but appreciate a variety of languages!A strong technical background with 10+ years of experience working directly on complex backend and/or frontend systems and projects, including in leadership or lead engineer rolesGreat pride from taking ownership of product ideas from inception through to productionGood understanding of both frontend and backend best practices and paradigms.Integrated AI impactfully in customer-facing products or engineering infrastructureYou might also have:Experience with AI-friendly and driven systemsExposure to or interest in the cryptocurrency technology ecosystemTerraform and Kubernetes knowledgeTechnologies we use:Java (Spring Boot)Typescript (React, Angular)Kafka (Warpstream)K8STerraformPostgreSQLAI at ChainalysisAI is not a feature at Chainalysis - it is a new way of working.
