Job Details:

The Commercial Proposals Business Partner is responsible for leading Haemonetics’ end-to-end commercial proposal, RFP, RFI, and tender response capability, with a focus on building a scalable, compliant, and technology-enabled response model. This role will manage complex proposal and tender responses while designing and maintaining a centralized commercial proposal content library/repository, ensuring responses are accurate, current, legally approved, and aligned with Haemonetics’ commercial, regulatory, compliance, and brand standards. The position will partner closely with Sales, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Product, Finance, Pricing, Quality, Regulatory, and other functional stakeholders to streamline response processes, improve governance, reduce cycle time, and drive automation across proposal intake, content reuse, approvals, and submission workflows. While not titled as a project management role, the position requires strong project-management discipline, including the ability to establish timelines, coordinate deliverables, drive accountability, ensure completeness, manage risks and dependencies, and deliver high-quality responses within required timeframes.
Responsibilities/Essential Duties

Commercial Proposal Intake, Planning & Execution:

  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle for commercial proposals, RFPs, RFIs, and tenders, including intake, qualification, requirements review, workback planning, stakeholder assignment, content development, approval coordination, submission, and post-submission follow-up.
  • Coordinate cross-functional response teams by establishing clear timelines, owners, deliverables, review gates, escalation paths, and decision points to ensure complete, high-quality, on-time submissions.
  • Monitor customer, GPO, IDN, health system, and public tender portals to identify opportunities, confirm submission requirements, assess deadlines, and initiate timely engagement with the appropriate commercial and functional teams.
  • Provide proactive status updates on progress, risks, dependencies, decisions, and next steps to stakeholders and leadership to maintain transparency, alignment, and execution discipline throughout the proposal process.

Proposal Content Library & Knowledge Management:

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve a centralized commercial proposal content library, including approved response language, standard clauses, product information, compliance statements, supporting documentation, ownership assignments, and refresh cadences.
  • Establish content governance processes to ensure repository materials remain accurate, current, searchable, version-controlled, legally reviewed where required, and aligned to approved Haemonetics messaging and business standards.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to develop, update, approve, and maintain standard responses and supporting documentation for recurring proposal, RFP, RFI, and tender requirements.

Compliance, Legal & Risk Review:

  • Establish and manage review processes to ensure proposal responses are accurate, compliant with applicable requirements, legally approved where needed, and aligned to Haemonetics’ risk standards.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, Quality, Product, Finance, Pricing, Sales, and Marketing to review response language, exceptions, representations, commitments, and supporting documentation before submission.
  • Evaluate commercial, contractual, compliance, legal, and operational risks within proposal requirements and coordinate appropriate review, escalation, mitigation, and documentation with internal subject matter experts.
  • Research applicable public tender requirements, customer procurement terms, and industry expectations to anticipate risks, support compliant responses, and improve proposal readiness.

Process Optimization, Automation & Reporting:

  • Identify, recommend, and implement automation opportunities to improve proposal intake, content retrieval, approval routing, version control, reporting, and response development efficiency.
  • Develop standardized playbooks, templates, intake criteria, metrics, dashboards, and reporting routines to improve scalability, visibility, accountability, and consistency across Haemonetics’ commercial proposal response model.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Haemonetics’ products, services, standards, commercial models, customer requirements, industry trends, and applicable tender or procurement expectations to improve response quality and readiness.
  • Lead or support related commercial operations, process improvement, and enablement initiatives that advance proposal response effectiveness, governance, and scalability.

Skill Sets

  • Strong response management skills, including planning, timeline management, risk tracking, stakeholder coordination, completeness checks, and execution discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority
  • High degree of integrity, professionalism, discretion, and judgment when managing legally sensitive or compliance-related content
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to translate complex product, legal, compliance, and commercial information into clear customer-facing responses
  • Strong verbal communication, facilitation, and meeting leadership skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent collaboration, change management, and team-building skills across Legal, Compliance, Sales, Marketing, Product, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, and Operations stakeholders
  • Maintains composure under pressure
  • Ability to influence internal and external constituents, drive alignment, resolve ambiguity, and escalate risks or decisions appropriately
  • Working knowledge of public tender requirements, healthcare procurement processes, contract risk, compliance review, and legal approval workflows where applicable.
  • Solid understanding of proposal/tender management in healthcare or life sciences, including the review, drafting, approval, and submission of complex RFP/RFI/tender responses.
