Bookkeeper (Part-Time, Remote)
About the Role
We are looking for an Excel-proficient accounting professional to support us with financial reporting and analysis. This is more than a routine bookkeeping role, with a focus on preparing and refining financial reports, budgets, and cash flow projections.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements using existing templates or by developing new ones.

• Build and maintain cash flow projections, initially on a weekly and/or monthly basis.

• Support budget preparation and financial planning.

• Organize financial information for review and for sharing with the tax accountant.

• Refine and customize reporting templates to fit our needs.

• Work from existing accounting system data and the chart of accounts. This is not primarily a day-to-day bookkeeping position.

• Build processes, reports, and projections from the ground up, as historical information is limited.

Required Qualifications

• Strong accounting fundamentals.

• Advanced Excel skills.

• Experience preparing financial statements, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.

• Solid understanding of cash vs. accrual accounting.

• Ability to work with templates, interpret financial data, and produce clear, accurate reports.

• Ability to understand revenue sources and timing, categorize expenses, and organize them into useful reports.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or a related field.

• Prior experience supporting startups.

Working Arrangement
· This is a flexible part-time position. Hours may be structured as shorter daily shifts or two to three full workdays per week, depending on availability and business needs.
